say "public school" for private like Brits |
The term "Public schools" has a positive connotation so it
would be well worthwhile to change terminology. We should lobby for the
government to use the English naming convention: government schools
called "state schools" and private schools should be called
"public schools" because they are owned by members of the public.
Since Republicans control the Department of Education, this
nomenclature change can be done instantly and without fuss. Over time
it will seep into the media and through them into the general culture.
Every battle we wish to wage will be much easier to win if this
groundwork is done now.
This is a revolutionary idea you should support.
Sincerely,
Mark Willey
