Sony Balances Da Vinci Film with Truth Site |
I'm entirely impressed. Sony has just done a very unexpected thing
that I think will lessen the Da Vinci Code film's propaganda impact,
even as it may hurt their own film's sales. Check out the following
site...

This is a site that Sony, itself, set up with the comments of respected
religious leaders explaining the Truth opposed to the Da Vinci Code's
suggested propaganda. If the movie maker, themselves, admit their film
is false and present the truth opposed to the film, it will very likely
hurt their movie sales. On the other hand, I've NEVER seen a more
ethical move on the part of a Movie Distributer. Wow. Bravo.

Actually, it's Sony doing a standard "Battlefield:Earth"/"Rising Sun" move--
Distance themselves from the author's loopy sermonizing in the book,
film the plot as a toothless generic Hollywood action-movie, and
disclaimer any loopy-sermonizing residue from the novel as "Hey, HE
wrote it, we just filmed it because it was a bestseller!"
....Look up in the New Testament to see who first invented the expression
"Washing their hands of the whole thing". :)
