Teachers Who Bully Students. |
This week The Irascible Professor has published an article by Poor Elijah
(Peter Berger), who addresses the issue (or perhaps it would be better to
say the non-issue) of teachers who bully students. Berger's article is a
response to Dr. Stuart Twemlow, director of the Peaceful Schools Project,
who claims to have found that a significant number of teachers bully their
students. Berger shows that Twemlow, in essence, is making a mountain out
of a molehill.
Before your school invests heavily in the Twemlow program for miscreant
teachers, the IP highly recommends that you read Berger's article. Find it

Someone should do a study as to why school administrators believe and
react to the dribble that comes out of school studies.
