UN Loses WMD in Their Own Building!!! |
This would be funny if it wasn't such a serious subject...the UN
weapon inspector's incompetence. Apparently, the UN WMD inspectors
cannot even find a chemical weapon when it is in their own office...

Unless you count those old empty Sarin artillary shells from the 80's that

ISG has not discovered evidence suggesting this was the
Regime’s intention. However in 1991, research and
production on biopesticide and single cell protein (SCP)
was selected by Iraq to provide cover for Al Hakam’s role
in Iraq’s BW program. Similar work conducted at the
Tuwaitha Agricultural and Biological Research Center
(TABRC) up to OIF also maintained skills that were
applicable to BW, but again, ISG found no evidence to
suggest that this was the intention.

Bacillus thuringiensis is sold at virtually every nursery in
America as a pesticide for caterpillars. Variants are manufactured
that limit effectiveness down to the species level, allowing
species-specific targeting that leave the non-harmful alone. It is
considered non-toxic to mammals. It is sold under the generic
name, "BT", and I do not recall ever seeing it referred to as a
'biopesticide' on the labeling, and who can blame the
manufacturers, if they are not required by law to label it as
such. Biopesticide is a scary word, oozing lethality contextually.
Bacillus thuringiensis was a concern, and that should not be
played down. It is an excellent non-toxic alternative to simulate
the productionm of anthrax. Still, The ISG Report would not have
had even the minimal impact that it did, if instead of
"biopesticide", it had described Bacillus thuringiensis as a
common biological garden control for caterpillars available
worldwide, and considered to so benign, organic gardeners approve
of its use.
The sales pitch for BT in the United States was innappropriate for
use as a description of BT in the Iraq Survey Report. Republican
Congresspersons had little problem compacting the Clinton
administration's attempts to deal with the dual-use conumdrum.
They were quite adept at peppering their spoken word performances
on the sunday news shows with sound-bites suitable for ingestion
by TV America, using phrases like, 'bombing a baby formula
factory'.
Oddly, the ISG Report offered evidence that the pandemic of
Intelligence failures affecting US Politicans and govenmental
bureaucracies continues to be an ongoing concern with the
published dual usage of differing definitions for Bacillus
thuringiensis:
