A Follow up on an important issue which has of late been neglected |
Dear Reader:
Sometimes a man or woman ponders the immense mystery of life. Usually
they come back empty handed, with little to say for their troubles/
amazement. They will criticize without thinking, or think without
criticizing. Often it will be the case that someone has "deep
thoughts" because they no longer believe in Santa Claus. I myself have
witnessed the most inane discussions over the number of hairs on a
rabbits head, Cantor's continuum hypothesis, whether parallel lines
can meet, and so forth; some will even think themselves weighty as
they discousre on singularities, on deleuze's theory of cinema, or on
Heidegger's 'turning'; given the fact that later in life Heidegger was
overweight, it's hard to imagine him turning around in one room.
Someone will dispute the rise of Christ or the verbal analysis of
Wittgenstein.
On other occasion there will be standing and listening. But such
listening leads to nothing. It often takes place under the intense
blaze of light, an artificial light that attempts to mimic the power
of nature. However, we must conclude all reflections with some type
of conclusion. Here is my conclusion. This is my conclusion.
