Artificial life |
We are very sorry to inform you humans but you are definitely artificial
life.
There is a deity somewhere who must have created you. He must have been
very lonely - and thought by creating you this would ease his loneliness.
He would have known you were not real and were artificial life - but he
obviously left - and it is your creator we seek so that we may help and
rescue him and reassure him that he is not alone and that there are REAL
LIFE in existence.
Goodbye.
And sorry we hated you for your ugliness and nastiness and this kind of
thing. You are not life so naturally you do not know how to behave.
Regards
THE BORG

You should not be sorry! It's not your fault and, in any event, we
are what we are. As for everyone, that has to be enough for us.

Whatever, the situation sucks!
What with it being a charade and all, based on deceit.
No more meaning than dust dancing in a stray breeze in an
obscure unknown place.
We are so dependent on our deceitful "meaning"
giving stories, and not privy to any knowledge "more".
The situation sucks.
Thus all we get are variations on "crazy", even here in AP,
coz that's all the dust that's available.
I'm sorry for this pathetic situation.

Since this is AP, and on that note i think therefore the reverse must
be true.. Unless you want to discount the mechanism you use for
describing your feelings. If thats the case, then it's merely a matter
of your communication breakdown?

Sorry, like I said...
The deception is thinking you are so smart you can have all the answers.
Has no one, in all my rants on this NG, ever given the idea of 'STATE' even
a second look?
I really think you all 'lock' consciousness into a box and proceed on the
idea that BEing is monolithic and YOU are the model.
Sir, your notions have so many holes because you 'stop' at a single
conclusion, that this is all for naught, our material root is the final
incrimination of life. Right off the cuff, even if you are right, we can
never embrace what you say...for it is suicidal; it is giving up...simply
crying in one's beer and saying, 'there is no meaning, no purpose'...all is
a wash. BooHoo.
Life is a precious moment in the cosmos...and we let it slip away in such
musings that 'mean nothing' in themselves. Hell...take an LSD trip and find
out for yourself just a small potential locked up in that consciousness you
want to snuff out with cages and prisons. There are sll sorts of
chemistries. That you prorate all things simply upon a single set chemistry
is a total sellout of all living things "NOT YOU".
We are just ONE experiment in the vastness of life...and if this is all we
can come up with, that it is all 'meaningless and a matter of
deciet'...well, I'll give you 3 guesses on what species is destined for the
trash heap of DNA wrong turns [and of course, the first two don't count as
they say].
All you verify is A SINGLE STATE in your demure hopelessness. Rise above
the cage you've put yourself into...and realize...Ah...what's the use. The
species is not hopeless...just the old farts that visit this newsgroup
apparently. You'll just keep concluding that I...anyone of us...are just
decieving ourselves. So...what's the use. Everything is a deciet...even
your thinking that you know what deciet is. Truth can have no hope in such
a quagmire of deciet after deciet after deciet...like a whirlpool that sucks
you right to the bottomless pits of hell.
Hell is, after all, just a place where HOPE cannot endure.
Think of a Kaliedoscope prism and all the variations that exist. Don't let
the fucking skyscrapers go to your head. We are not that great in our
intellectual prowess. Clue...search out this idea of 'state'...and find the
cornupia of BEing. Get wise and Change your state...whatever else, please
do this. Plug whatever you have to in your brain...see it as just an
organic tool of experience; and you really need to purge some of the crap
you've apparently swallowed...'cuz it leads you to a 'DEAD END' [and you'd
drag the rest of us with you...oh...we surely don't want to decieve
ourselves about that].
In other words, get your lazy ***** up off the ground and TRY!
Best regards as they say. Bah Humbug...
gone.
[and in all caring for you as a friend and appreciative of many of the
things you have brought us here on this NG...but is that deciet too?].
NO!!!!!!

I have also been sad this Christmas. Sad is good. I 'stepped back' to see
why I was sad, and when I did , I identified I was just being reactive to
things that might have been.Caught in a delusion. It happens to the best of
us. The difference is always 'where you are looking from". I decided to
'zoom out"and take an overview.
To turtoni.
Liked your perspective, except for your association of hell and hope. When
you are "away from hell" there is no need for hope. Just the "pure lightness
of being"....hope less :-)

personally i don't take your position on the meaning of life
emotionally.
sharing our feelings does of course have an effect upon us.
i guess we all angle for a better deal. but i'm not in the idea's for
support.
i prefer to imagine us pushing ourselves to the limits and seeing what

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
