Back on line, Back on life |
Last one year was full of agony and excitment. I almost lost my job.
Losing job is equal to losing life. I was thinking about ending my
life. Anyway, in the end things improved. I am still in job. Got some
money, bought mobile and now i am posting to usenet from mobile! Thanks
God for almost killing me and saving me. -abhi.

What does not kill you, makes you stronger...
My modification:
What does not kill you, or kill you little by little over time, may
make you stronger if you find a way to use it/learn from it.
I look around and see people dying a little every day. A little less
creativity. A little less hope. A little less light in their eyes.
They live through and were not 'killed' but they lose a little each
time. It is not a black and white issue.

Well, I actually agree with what you say here and I've never completely
embraced Nietzsche's gem either. I only offered it here as a positive lean
on what was obviously some bad times for the poster, that hopefully is
behind him now. But if taken absolutely, and if all things that made us
suffer ultimately made us stronger, then this is justification of limitless
hell and a bit absurd. A better philosophy would be to allow us to stoicly
accept suffering when we cannot escape it, but when able, to 'always' escape
it if possible [except for aesthetic reasons].

Congratulations.
Been in your shoes believe me.
May end up there again because THAT IS life.
I was of the opinion that all this horse-pucky I now was living in
was just a prelude to my REAL life......uh-ah.
My real life is right now.....it's not every going to become somekind
of magical
Hollywood movie experience.....the struggle is lifelong.
And quite frankly for society to keep indulging themselves in these
fantasies
is damaging.

In my experience (as a fitness coach over many years dealing with "premiers"
through to "paupers"), the "more real" people have overcome their own self
created obstacles.
Sure, I live in a very affluent part of the world,(West Australia) where
most material needs are taken care of, but that doesnt stop us having one of
the highest suicide rates in the world.
Your observation of your barriers, such as self esteem etc, have presented
you with the opportunity to "see through" such illusions.
Sure, it is part of being balanced , to have dreams and self images, but
neither are "you". A "king" of your universe.
I salute you your majesty !!!
