What does it mean to "believe in science"? I though science was the
understanding of nature through observations and testing. While rules/
laws can be derived to explain the workings of nature and these rules
can be associated with a confidence level (i.e. I am 99.9% confident
in the law of gravity); science is not a construct that relies on
faith (i.e. belief).
Your question is similar to the hypothetical can someone by
grandmother and still be an honest person. Maybe ... but the two do
not necessarily have a direct connection.

Can Anyone Honestly and Simultaneously Believe in Science and God?
Sure.
God and the Universe are identical.
Thus if you believe in the Universe you believe in God.

Science has a great debt to religious thinkers. They themselves are not
confined, they are being confined.
