Fahrenheit 9/11 not only broke box office records for a documentary on

weekend, it was the first time in movie history that a documentary out
performed
regular movies at the box office! Fahrenheit 9/11 opened to sell-out

is still filling theatres after the weekend.

Documentary or propaganda?, June 28, 2004
Reviewer: booklover10 (see more about me) from Brooklyn, NY United States
Propaganda is "the systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of
information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a
doctrine or cause." A documentary is "a work, such as a film or television
program, presenting political, social, or historical subject matter in a
factual
and informative manner and often consisting of actual news films or
interviews
accompanied by narration."
The question is, in which category does Michael Moore's new film fall? Is
it an
evenhanded look at the politics of this country after September 11, or is
it a
heavily biased attempt to portray Bush, his staff, and his cronies as
venal,
selfish, opportunistic, and ruthless politicians who will stop at nothing
to make
money and achieve political power?
I do not like Bush and I am totally against the war in Iraq. Therefore, I
should
love Michael Moore's movie. Yet, as I sat in the theater, I felt cheated.
Instead
of using solid filmmaking techniques to make his case against Bush, Moore
relies
on cheap shots and heavyhanded editorializing to get his points across.
Why
doesn't Moore respect his audience enough to use a little more subtlety
and
shading? Does he think that his audience is too dense to appreciate a more
balanced film?
Painting the Republicans as the bad guys and the Democrats as the good
guys is
not helpful, either in a documentary or in a political debate. Both
parties bear
some of the blame for our country's economic and political problems.
"Fahrenheit
9/11" sheds more heat than light, and although it may resonate with the
many
angry people across the country who are fed up with Bush, it is more a
work of
propaganda than an artistic achievement.

An extremely disturbing movie., June 28, 2004
Reviewer: Gus fogle (see more about me) from The most wonderfulest
country in
the world! Ya know, USA!!!!!
The fact is thst people in America are becoming more and more aware of the
awful
truth behind the corporations that have taken over America, down-sizing
anything
if it means making a bit more in profit. I expected this movie to mention
some of
these things like in Michael's earlier work, however, it did not. I braced
myself
before the movie, preparing to see anything that was revealed on the
screen but
the movie caught me off gaurd, and I am a person who is jaded and know a
bit of
the truth. I imagined what the experience of the movie was like for people
who
didn't know about what was going on in America. I really don't understand
reviewers who gave this one star, claiming it was a fantasy and propaganda
when
90% of the movie is made up of news clips, it's stupid and rediculous how
people
react when a liberal puts out something controversial about America. Some
of the
most disturbing scenes of the movie are when video clips of mutilated
bodies of
children start popping up, the movie has a lot of emotional power to it,
sometimes right before you start crying something funny happens, making
the
experience all the worse because the mood change is so abrupt that it
confuses
you, although some of the times there was no comic relief, showing way too
much
and depressing you tremendously. How, I wonder, could this be fake when it
supports itself with real facts and news clips, that came from famous
stations we
watch everyday and believe? But what the news doesn't show you is the full
video,
which is what Michael Moore did. Some are saying that even though Michael
Moore
is bringing the truth to America, he doesn't provide a solution, the
solution is
without a doubt voting for John Kerry, who will hopefully be better than
Bush, if
he isn't then we wouldn't have got any better with Bush, who has had
contact with
Osama's family and the Saudi Arabians over the lat 25 years- how do you
say that
is fake when W himself is shown shaking many of the Saudi Arabians hands
that he
met with occasionally. This movie supports EVIDENCE that George W. Bush
worked
wih Saudi Arabians to set up the terrorist attack on 9/11, therfore having
a
reason to invade Iraq, split the findings with buisiness partner, Saudi
Arabia
and at the same time, kill thousands of innocent women and children, the
result:
Lots of money for the government and lots of dead people, buisiness as
usual in
America. I suggest that everyone in position to vote see this movie, then,
after
seeing the truth, you will make the best decision.

(...) My husband and I drove 1 1/2 hours to Pittsburgh to see this movie

the
entire state of West Virginia). The movie is enjoyable but not easy to
watch. I
found myself both laughing and sobbing throughout. As for the facts in
this
movie, remember if they weren't true Michael Moore and the others involved
would
have a major libel/defamation of character lawsuit on their hands. I doubt
such a
lawsuit will occur. Too bad the same can't be said of those who write

It doesn't matter what your politics are. See the movie and decide what

worth the
price of admission. The images from the film will not fade from your

a powerful political film that does not hide its bias, June 28, 2004
Reviewer: Joe Sherry (see more about me) from Bloomington, MN United
States
A film by Michael Moore
Michael Moore has stated from the start what "Fahrenheit 9/11" is and what
it is
intended to be. The film is an attack on President Bush about his handling
of our
country and his actions after September 11, 2001. The film is an
indictment for
his entire presidency and President Bush's failure to truly "lead" our
nation.
Michael Moore has had no hidden agenda. His agenda with this film has been
quite
public. He wants to educate the public about President Bush and he wants
President Bush out of office. Moore is using this documentary as a
platform
against President Bush and he is open about it. All documentaries, whether
or not
the director is open about it, have a certain amount of bias. I'm not sure
it is
possible to not show bias and still have a quality film that makes a
point. Moore
is just less subtle about his bias than most.
Since this is a documentary, there are three things that must be taken
into
consideration:
1. Is this a well made, quality piece of filmmaking?
2. Is this movie entertaining?
3. Is the documentary factual?
The first two questions are common to all movies. The third question is
directed
towards a documentary. I do not have the expertise to answer question 3,
but I
can say that many of the arguments Moore makes in "Fahrenheit 9/11" are
ones that
I have heard before, often from reputable sources, so I am inclined to
accept the
veracity of the facts presented in this movie. The facts may be accurate,
but is
Moore's interpretation truthful?
Michael Moore opens "Fahrenheit 9/11" with the 2000 election and the
claims that
George W Bush, with the help of his brother and the official vote counter
of
Florida, cheated to win the election. Moore goes onto show the viewer how
Bush
always intended to invade Iraq, even before September 11, even if there
was no
connection between Iraq and the particular terrorists who were to blame.
Moore
continues to show the connection between Bush's family and the Bin Ladin
family
(which is not the same thing as a connection directly with Osama) and how
numerous members of the Bin Laden family were allowed to leave the United
States
without being questioned only two days after the 9/11 attacks. It is
Moore's
contention that President Bush has been a failure as President, but worse,
has
been damaging to our country and to the world.
Right now I have no reason to doubt the facts presented in "Fahrenheit
9/11", but
it is Moore's interpretation of the facts that point to a larger
conspiracy among
everyone in the administration to fight the war in Iraq no matter the
provocation
(or a lack thereof). It is Moore's interpretation that says that President
Bush
deliberately manipulated America with the fear of post 9/11 that has
allowed him
to fight a war that nobody would have supported otherwise. I'll admit that
Moore
makes a compelling and powerful case, but I'm not sure how much I am yet
willing
to accept all of his interpretations.
One thing is clear to me, however. "Fahrenheit 9/11" is a skillfully made
political film that far surpasses any of the political advertisements that
you
see on television that are "approved" by the candidate. "Fahrenheit 9/11"
is
deeply moving, often funny, and is a well made, well crafted film. It goes
without saying that this is a very divisive film and perhaps the viewer's
enjoyment of it (or even acceptance of it) may very well depend on what
side of
the political spectrum one finds himself (or herself). (...)

Quite possibly THE documentary film of 2004, June 28, 2004
Reviewer: Daniel R Barnett (see more about me) from Dallas, TX United
States
I saw FAHRENHEIT 9/11 on oepning weekend. Twice. And I want to see it
again. It's
just that good.
Michael Moore's fourth full-length documentary feature starts with the
2000
Presidential election debacle, but quickly accelerates to September 11,
2001,
where the attacks are handled with surprising sensitivity and grace. The
majority
of the film, however, deals with the Bush/Saudi/bin Laden connections that
may
have complicated America's response to 9/11, the subsequent wars in
Afghanistan
and Iraq, and the backroom business deals that may have provoked both
campaigns.
FAHRENHEIT 9/11 does pull a couple of punches - Moore does not discuss
Honduras'
pullout from the "Coalition of the Willing" because of John Negroponte's
appointment as Iraq's US ambassador, and he doesn't target the apparent
complicity of American media as much as some may have wanted. Other than
that,
Moore hits the target with surprising and devastating force (and some
well-placed
humor) every time.
This is a sobering indictment of the George W. Bush administration and a
must-see
for everyone on both sides of the political aisle. Don't wait - see it
today.

Best movie of the year!, June 28, 2004
Reviewer: A customer from Connecticut
This is a great movie about the horrible state of the nation. It will
hopefully
open peoples' eyes to the way that the administration is killing thousands
of
soldiers and Iraqi civillians, and for what? No WMD's (for those of you
living in
a cave that's Weapons of Mass Destruction)! Also, the Iraq war is not at
all a
response to 9/11 or a vital part of the War on Terror, because there are
NO ties
between Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. However, there are ties
between
George Bush and Osama Bin Laden. The Bin Ladens have so much money
invested in
the United States that if Bushy was to make them mad enough to take their
money
out, we would have a depression! 6-7% of the money invested in the stock
market
would be gone! Do you see now why instead of going after Bin Laden we went
after
Hussein? Because to Dubya, money is more important than the lives of
thousands of
innocent civillians, hundreds of US Troops, and honesty with the American
people.
No one died when Clinton lied! If Clinton was impeached for lying about
his
personal life, Bush should be impeached 50x over for lying about an
important US
foreign policy issue and using it to create a fictional war that has
killed real
people!
Please go see this movie, but more importantly VOTE! Voting is the only
way to
ensure an anyone-but-bush win in 2004! Thankyou.
PS- This movie is rated R, and i would advise you not to bring children
under 13,
because there are some graphic images of the war.

You must see this documentary. Moore does a great job of skewering Bush
and the
Bushies. But he also fairly goes after the press for being lapdogs and not
asking
hard questions. I don't remember seeing in the press the real protests
that met
the presidential car at the inauguration parade. And it's not a Democratic
commercial either. He challenges them because they just went along with
the
appointed president. I was astounded to see the footage in which protests
of the
election (so-called) were made by one after another Representative who
could not
get ONE Senator to join them. Excellent job.

Last night the crowd I was with burst into explosive laughter over and
over. They
also cheered--and booed--and not a few wept as well. It wasn't a movie, it
was an
EVENT--every movie mogul's dream, a packed house interacting with and
loving
Michael Moore's explosive documentary of George W. Bush's nasty little
war,
FAHRENHEIT 9/11.
Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. Whether you're firmly anti-war (or
anti-Bush, which to filmmaker Moore is pretty much the same thing), or if
you're
still on the fence, FAHRENHEIT 9/11 has a way of bringing up certain
truths,
uncomfortable historical facts that wreak havoc with the Administration's
carefully crafted image of rock-hard, eternal vigilance and ideological
consistency about our nation, bin-Laden, and the reign of Saddam Hussein.
For
example, did you know that in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, while we
ordinary citizens were grounded and kept out of the skies for several
days,
Bush's government un-grounded private and overseas commercial flights so
that the
elite could get home comfortably? And that this included OSAMA BIN-LADEN'S
OWN
FAMILY?!? It's evidence like this that will cause any fair person to gape
in
wonderment at some of the Bushies' later, shall we say, arrogant
excursions from
reality in trying to justify some kind of Al-Qaeda/Iraq alliance.
Is Michael Moore himself "fair" in presentation of what happened? Make no
about
it, this is the film equivalent of advocacy journalism. It's partisan and
biased.
Nonetheless it is very much in the documentary tradition, just as the
first film
documentary, "Nanook of the North" back in the 1920s was a plea to
preserve the
indigenous lifestyle of the Eskimos, or the 1960 CBS documentary "Harvest
of
Shame" which turned a spotlight on the shameful treatment of Mexican
migrant farm
workers.
Unlike those more earnest ventures, of course, FAHRENHEIT 9/11 is funny,
and
Moore's laugh-provoking technique of flash ironic juxtaposition serves him
well,
especially when he is thumbing his nose at the Administration's own
bloviations.
So the new take on terrorism is all about the Homeland, about Protecting
Our
Shores? Moore introduces us to the only part-time state trooper who is
responsible for protecting 100 miles of unprotected shoreline. Take that!
Why is
Tom Ridge urging us to stock up on Duck Tape when George Bush wants us to
go back
to the Friendly Skies? An interview with a specialist in mass psychology
explains
the crazy-making effect of that color-coded "Terrorist Alert" board that
zings up
and down from lemon yellow to firetruck red. "But you can be sure it will
never
rest on Blue or Green," opines the psychiatrist. "Never." I do, though,
think
Moore was unfair in one sequence, in which he tries to visually depict
prewar
Baghdad as one long string of suburban family gatherings and little kids
flying
kites. (C'mon--nobody disputes that Saddam was one of the worst dictators
ever.)
Bush's staff and advisor are frequently caught in goofy impromptu
performances
and outtakes, but I won't spoil the punch lines by revealing them. At any
rate,
the movie lays most of the blame for Iraq Etc. squarely at the feet of the
Prexy,
a failed businessman who became a pro-business Governor and as President
.... well
... let's just say there's no need to pontificate when the guilty do such
a good
job of impeaching themselves. Moore's position is that he isn't being mean
to
Bush as much as leaving in the stupidity that the networks filtered out,
and the
outtakes and clips his friends in low places in the media got to him do
indeed
reinforce that theme. This approach also lets Moore tone way, way down on
his
trademark "gotcha" tactic of coralling the big shots in person and
confronting
them with provocative, ignorant-on-purpose questioning.
Alongside the human cost, if the fallout from the war includes for most of
us an
underlying residue of domestic fear, to a dismayingly large extent the
Iraq war's
aftermath--assuming we can call it that--is all about the money to be made
abroad
by the few suitably positioned to take advantage. That theme is driven
home by a
glad-handing Halliburton infomercial, a peek into an unabashed
businessmen-only
seminar about investment opportunities in the defeated Reich, and an
understandable complaint by a long-term Iraqi businessman that his
opportunities
to do business are being squeezed out by American businessmen (who have
first
dibs on American money, namely taxpayer money).
After FAHRENHEIT 9/11 shows the first nighttime bombing of Baghdad and
Katie
Couric whoops "Navy Seals rock!" the film edges away from quick dark farce
into a
more serious mode. Back in his home town of Flint, Michigan, Moore gets
acquainted with a self-described "conservative Democrat," a
lower-middle-income
Mom who is a bastion of support for the Administration, until her faith is
betrayed. Her recognition that "I've been duped" drew the biggest applause
of the
evening.
At the end of the film George W. Bush stumbles over the adage that begins,
"Fooled me once, shame on you . . . ," tries the line again and muffs it,
and
finally gives up. Never mind, the audience is more than capable of filling
in the
equation: " . . . Fooled me twice, shame on ME." At the risk of borrowing
a tag
line, the audience made it very clear they won't be fooled again, and
people who
protest there was never any foolery at all--I hope they too will see this
challenging, emotional, and highly entertaining movie. Is every move that
got us
into this mess, divided the nation and tarnished our reputation world-wide
the
result of a conspiracy? Probably not; but bridge players have a saying:
"Never
attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by incompetence."
Moviegoers
of all stripe will see plenty of both here.

Flawed, but a Must-See, June 28, 2004
Reviewer: Brennon Slattery (see more about me) from Boston, MA United
States
Unlike "Bowling for Columbine," Michael Moore's last picture which won the
Oscar
for Best Documentary, "Fahrenheit 9/11" relies on television footage
rather than
actual human-to-human interviews. Most of the picture is clips of our
President
mispronouncing words, slipping on sentences and cliches, and changing from
a
die-hard leader of the free to a lazy redneck golfer on some ranch in
Texas.
Basically, Moore doesn't make too much fun of Bush. He leaves the satire
to the
man himself.
The lack of personable interviews makes this film at times lag, but it
never
fails to incite a reaction from the audience. When I saw this film a day
after
opening in Boston, many people gave a somewhat useless standing ovation,
so
pleased were they with Moore's courage to present an important,
politically
biased film that hopes to make a difference on the upcoming Presidential
elections.
The problem with these hopes are, of course, that many of those who watch
Moore's
films are already ardent anti-Bushies, and would do anything to get him
out of
office. I am guessing that half of those who see this film know little to
nothing
about Bush's challenger, John F. Kerry, and many more could care less.
They just
want Bush out.
This criticism has little to do with the make of the film, yet it still
carries
weight. For if "Fahrenheit 9/11" purports to influence the 2004 election,
an
emphasis of choice must be offered to the filmgoers, or else they'll just
elect
whatever smiling lackey is slapped on their platter.
The film itself, as previously mentioned, is flawed, yet a story that
demands to
be told. Moore takes us from Florida in 2000 when Gore supposedly won the
state,
to Flint, Michigan where a die-hard patriot finds herself at odds with the
leadership of this country after her son dies in Iraq, to actual footage
from the
war iteself - perhaps the most harrowing portion of the film. Burned and
bloodied
bodies, soldiers lying face-down in the road, explosions and prisoner
abuse are
all highlighted in this film. Importantly, Moore doesn't blame the
soldiers. In
fact, the movie ends on a somewhat upbeat note, basically asking Americans
to
support their troops and get them out of Iraq as soon as possible.
The story you'll most connect with is the woman from Flint who lost her
son. At
one point, she's standing outside the White House, bawling her eyes out
(in a
scene that is already being called "exploitation" by the anti-Moores),
listening
to a demented street person talk about how Bush is a fascist unnecessarily
killing American troops and Iraqi citizens. Suddenly, an angry woman comes
up and
accuses everybody present of being part of a charade. "This is all
staged," she
says. The woman from Flint becomes furious and tells her that her son is
dead.
The ignorant lady demands to know where exactly her son died. This scene
will
anger you as much as the rest of the film will. You realize it may not be
the
President's fault we're dying in the hundreds overseas, but instead, the
ignorant
majority who supported this war blindly. The Congressmen, the Senators,
the
American people. This is a hard pill to swallow. But it's about time we
sucked it
down.
Viewer beware: if you're still tender-hearted over Sept. 11, as I am, you
may
find yourself crying hysterically during Moore's depiction of the
atrocity.
Instead of showing planes flying into the towers, Moore blacks the screen
and
uses only sounds ... and this is, by far, more effective than the footage
we're
all mostly desensitized to. It's a brilliant filmmatic device, and worth
the
admission price alone.
So, although "Fahrenheit 9/11" isn't as good as "Bowling for Columbine,"
it is
certainly a must-see. If you hate Bush, go see it. If you support Bush, go
see
it. It offers a dramatic and effective retelling of the past four years of
our
history - all of which zipped by with such a confusing speed, you may need
to
remind yourself how our country got to where it is, and perhaps, if you're
so
inclined, who is to blame.
Don't hide from the truth., June 28, 2004
Reviewer: Dave (see more about me) from Avon, CT United States
Let's clear up a few things with this movie. Does Moore have an agenda? Of
course
he does. His agenda is to get Bush out of office. Is the movie one-sided?
Yes, as
the Bush administration is not seen in any sort of positive light in the
movie.
Is the movie therefore devoid of any political and educational value? Not
in the
least. Moore and Miramax have stated on numerous occassions that the facts
of
this film were checked, re-checked, and checked again, and it shows. In
theory,
you could save your money and just find archives of all the stories that
contributed to the facts of this movie. There are also important
interviews with
former FBI and congressional members in the film as well.
Even if you are a die-hard conservative/Bush supporter who feels that
Moore's
views are without merit, fine. Lord knows conservatives aren't the most
open-minded people. However, you can't ignore the FACTS that are presented
in
this film, nor can you ignore the footage of the soldiers and Iraqis that
are
shown here. The casualties of this war are even greater than the
fatalities, as
you will see soldiers missing limbs and suffering permanent
physical/mental
damage from the war, which is the kind of stuff the major news outlets
seem
reluctant to show.
Talking about the media, if you wonder why every news station is making
their own
"Does Fahrenheit's Facts Check Out?" segment, its not because they really
have
evidence of false facts, but rather they're just covering their own butts
because
the media is shown in quite a negative light in this film, especially Fox
News.
They're covering up shoddy reporting by attacking Moore (anyone who saw
Matt
Lauer's interview with Moore can attest to that.)
This film is more aimed towards people who really don't know about what's
going
on in our government. I brought my friend who's never been political about
anything to see this and he was appalled when he learned what was going
on. To be
fair, anyone who sees this movie needs to realize that this is still just
one
side of the story, and should not base all of their political thinking on
it.
Still, knowledge is truly power, and the power attained from seeing this
movie is
very real and tangible. And for all those nay-sayers who say that the film
is
full of lies, all I have to say is: Prove it. Don't just say, "The film
isn't
entirely accurate," give me pure EXAMPLES of how this is so. It should be
noted
that all of these sorts of criticisms have been disproven by Moore,
including a
high profile one in Newsweek. I'd highly recommend that you go to Moore's
web
site to learn more.
In conclusion, this film is a scathing view of the current administration,
and
these views are "justified" via facts/interviews/information throughout
the
movie. Not everything is cut and dry in it, but it definately leaves you
with
something to talk about. I recommend everyone see this movie, and to bring
all
your friends/family as well. And don't give me the excuse that "I don't
care
about the government" or "This film will just make me cry/angry." Just
because
you ignore these issues does NOT mean they are simply going to go away.
You owe
it to yourself as a citizen to know what it is the government is doing on
your
behalf. Remember, our government, and especially our President, are our
representatives to the rest of the world. We elect them to represent us,
so you
owe it to yourself to check that they are faithfully representing you, so
that
you can make the decision in November whether or not to keep them in
office or to
kick them out. And on a side note, if you haven't already, REGISTER TO
VOTE! I
don't care if u vote for Bush or Kerry or Nader, but lets at least have it
so
that more than 50% of the country is voting in this next election.

Temper THE TRUTH and see it for what it is!, June 28, 2004
Reviewer: Brett D. Cullum (see more about me) from Houston, Texas United

All documentaries have a point of view, and all news media have a point of
view -- stop with the semantics of "Fair and Balanced" or "Truth".
FARENHEIT 9/11
is one long OP ED piece to justify why Michael Moore thinks the way he
does about
Iraq and Bush. Even in interviews he says "This is based on my opinions!"
All
facts presented support his argument, and they are all true. But he is
presenting
only the items supporting his view! It's something talk radio hosts and
political
candidates have mastered over the years, and is nothing new. Rush Limbaugh
would
find a close and fast friend in Moore if they could put aside their
ideology.
The movie is entertaining and disturbing all at once. Never boring, always
engaging! It's a great 2 hours no matter what politics are behind it.
Masterfully
edited, beautifully scored, and well stated throughout. Gone are the usual
Moore
stunt interviews, and present are some truly heart-breaking moments ...
most
notably with a mother who loses a son in the war. I don't care what side
of the
politics you are on - the segments with Linda Lipscomb going to Washington
DC
after her son has been killed captures how a patriot feels after losing
her
child. Truly moving!
Go see this movie no matter where you fall, because for the first time we
have a
film that inspires debate in this country. Thoughtful, heated, and frank
discussions that get to the core of the matters at hand. Love him or hate
him
Michael Moore just got whatever side you are on lots of airtime to discuss
the
state of the nation! What's so wrong with that?

Despite bias, FAREHEIT 9/11 is powerful and compelling, June 28, 2004
Reviewer: Hazen B. Markoe (see more about me) from St. Paul, MN United
States
One would never accuse documentary film-maker Michael Moore for being
understated
or even non-partial. Moore wears his liberal bias proudly on his sleeve
and his
documentary FARENHEIT 9/11 definitely displays that. However, it does make
some
powerful points about the possible corruption of the Bush Administration
that it
leaves the viewer both shaken and questioning previously held beliefs.
Starting
from the disputed 2000 election, in which Senators from both parties
refused to
support attempted protests from angry House members, the film winds its
way
through the 9/11 disaster (powerfully conveyed only by soundtrack against
a black
screen) and connecting members from the Bush Administration with members
of the
Saudi government, as well as members of the Bin Laden family. It also
questions
the very rationale behind the decision to attack Iraq. Of course, Moore
uses a
deadpan humor to help draw us in with particularly goofy clips of
President Bush
boasting about his golf game after a serious comment and Attorney General
John
Ashcroft singing a horrendous song that he wrote himself. But it contrasts
sharply with footage of Bush's stunned 7 minute wait after hearing of 9/11
and a
proud conservative-minded mother whose values are shaken to their core
after the
death of her son in Iraq. Some clips are obviously manipulative. The
scenes with
happy Iraqi children with cuts to Bush's declaration of war against Iraq
are
pretty obvious. Others including a business seminar in which oil
executives are
boasting of future profits are sobering. This movie will not change the
minds of
Bush partisans or haters, but for those who normally don't attend the
political
process or are on the fence will find a lot to chew on. FARENHEIT 9/11 is
a
powerfully moving film that cannot be dismissed out of hand. As such I
would
definitely recommend it.

NOTHING LIKE IT!!!, June 28, 2004
Reviewer: A customer from Shawnee, KS United States
This movie is outstanding! Nothing ever made has had the impact for
potential
change that this one movie has. GO SEE IT, and pay attention to
everything. The
facts are verifiable, and the content will make you feel sick to know how
we have
ALL been duped.
Most of America isn't rich enough to be Republican, so it is well worth
the few
dollars and time to get out and see this movie as soon as you can...and
before
'they' remove it from theatres. A time for change is now. Starting at the
top,
this year, and working our way down.

The best documantary I have ever seen in my life!, June 28, 2004

Do not be afraid of TRUTH!!! This movie is a campaign trailer for Kerry in
some
sort of way. This movie will end the Bush family in every possible aspect.
Before
today, I used to be a Republican. Today, I have become a true Democrat,
thank to
M. Moore! People, face the reality, please! Look at our country and our
economy!
How many more our guys have to die in a F....G Iraq? This war is for oil,
for
money! This war has never been for weapons of mass destruction! Wake up!!!
Open
your eyes! Clear your ears! Think!!!!!! Thank God, we have a man, like
Michael
Moore, who's not afraid of anything. I won't be surprised, if he will be
killed
by surprising accident or something. Then, the movie can be stored in the
shelves
until "better days". People; don't be afraid to say - this is all
truth!!!!!

ROCK WE
CALL EARTH, YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
Finally the naked truth is out there!!!
I will not be surprise if the Bush Administration asks Mel Gibson to
create a counter-attack named "The Passion of Bush".

worst doc ever, but pretty good movie, June 27, 2004
Reviewer: A customer from little rock, arkansas USA
as moore himself said on the daily show, he takes only the points he needs
to
prove his point, while all else falls on the cutting room floor. it would
be
interesting to double check all his stats, watch every interview from
beginning
to end, just to see how he cut it. not to say there arent good points made
in
this movie, but its a conspiracy theory none the less, and a cheap and
childish
slandering of our president. if the case was as clear cut as this movie
presents
it, i have a hard time believing that bush would not have been a)
impeached by
now and b) that a democrat controlled congress would give the go-ahead for
war.
im not trying to say this movie is nothing but lies, but to accept this as
gospel
is dangerous. this is not an account of straight events without intent,
this is
not a documentary.

Moore turns the screws on U.S. foreign policy, June 27, 2004
Reviewer: Mike Renzulli (see more about me) from Mesa, Arizona
I am no fan of Michael Moore and his political views. However, I was very
much
opposed to the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I will oppose Michael
Moore
when he is wrong but will support him when he is right. Moore blatantly
lied
about the gun culture and misrepresented many facts he brought up in
"Bowling For
Columbine". As far as I am concerned he is dead on target with "Fahrenheit
9/11".
It was immediately after 9/11 that I started doing alot of reading and
research
on U.S. foreign policy and have come to the conclusion that 9/11 was
retaliation
for U.S. meddling in the middle east that we have been doing for the past
40+
years. Not because of alleged arab hatred of the U.S., our freedoms or our
way of
life. While I am no foreign policy expert, as far as I am concerned every
one of
the points Moore brought up in this film was very accurate and this
documentary
was very well researched.
To his credit, he also took a swipe the Democrats too for their supporting
us
going to war in Iraq as well. However there were two facts not pointed out
in the
movie that I believe should have been brought up:
1) To his credit, Moore did point out that Bush courted the Taliban in
order to
get them to allow for a natural gas pipeline to be built in Afghanistan.
However,
