I Am Thankful America Is A Jihader Free Nation |
I am thankful that the Pilgrims introduced separation of religion and
government.
I am thankful that AwOL Bush & Cheney will be out of office in 2 years.
I am thankful that the Democrats have a leader after 6 years of zeros..
And I'm thankful I didn't over eat.

I don't recall the context or when in my life, I was talking with an
obviously
weathered black man, a vagrant perhaps.
Perhaps he caught a whiff of angst, which some
people tell me is easy to read on my face.
He told me something that I cannot forget--I think of it
often/frequently.
He simply smiles & says:
"I am grateful to be alive."

That's common in the South. Stuff like that doesn't happen out west.
No one is oppressed out here.

C-SPAN ran a native American symposium yesterday, and not all are from
east of the Mississippi River, though a little retribution/recompense
for our...uh... manifest destiny USA is being extracted via wonderfully
gimmicky reservation casino electronic bandits:
It's not a perfect world, though it's better to be alive, and
attending a political symposium on C-SPAN than the alternative, I
hereaby putridly pragmatically perhaps self-delusionally ex-postulate.
