From the second sentence it appears that you believe that it is a
dispositional issue instead of a situational issue. The former
conclusion would be based upon personal likes and dislikes of the
individual and the culture generally and the latter would be something
like the situational geography promotes a disposition that is not
concerned with producing behavior which would be rewarded by these
awards.

I agree with the original premise concerning IQ tests, but either way
I don't feel threatened by this. My hope for the future is that we
dwell less upon negative issues that separate us and concentrate more
on the unique abilities that each person brings to society.

of health, and I'm sure at one time this kind of thing involved a

If you mean infantile circumcision I think the objections to it are
the same as for any other type of child molestation: No child has the
maturity to choose circumcision or sexual activity.
But I would also put that argument to the Jews also. Rabbis are little
more than child abusers that get a peverted thrill out of mutilating
small boys without antiseptic, anasthetic or analgesia of any kind.
Adult circumcision is of no concern to the western viewpoint (or
should not be).

In the US the practive probably owes a lot to the army and mothers
believing that it keeps the penis clean (and i guess the cultural
pressure of not wanting the boy to be different, which is ironic). I
understand it's about 50/50 now. I dont think it's really a big deal
either way. Perhaps it make the penis a little less sensitive.

Becasue Asia is practically invisible to Sweden. They inhabit a
completely different milleu, language community and "world". The
criteria that are examined by the Nobel prize people are not criteria
that Asians are persuing.

to turtles relates to the turtle upon which the world rests.
