The Rainbow of Sin. =A9
I see many times we use Christianity to judge others, when in fact we
are judging an act, one incident, based on the truth we see or know or
believe to know. Judging people in the infinite sense be best left to
God.
I see many times in our postings that we discuss one sin, at the
exclusion of all other sins and we inadvertently polarize the issue of
sin, of people, of community of this world.
This is the world of half-truths(2) where we focus on one subject, one
colour, but not on all sins, not all colours. There is a dark side to
truth, that we have been deceived about since perhaps the days of Adam
and Eve, when they took of the tree and believed that they would be
like God to know The Truth; at best we know half-truths. Sin like
truth comes in all the colors of the rainbow.
Having said that I leave you with two observations. What are you doing
to help yourself and to help others less enlightened that you, or who
are involved in wrong ways.
Do you tell them the truth, or do you use half-truths to promote a
hidden agenda ?
Rather than isolating one sin, remember the seven deadly ones, and
remember the words of a priest told to my grandmother in Simbario
Italy. Mrs. Rosso you will go to heaven with all your clothes on, but
I, I a priest who study the word of God will go to hell, for I should
know better.
Sorry I am certain that hell will be filled with priests, bishops and
popes, and some of those people we believe were greater sinners than
ourselves, will be knocking on heavens door !
