Elhilaly was reaffirmed as the Grand Mufti over all of Australia's 350,000
Muslims. The vote of affirmation came from the ruling body of Sydney's
largest mosque after Elhilaly broke all bounds of decency in September by
referring to women in Western dress (that is, no hijab) as "uncovered meat."
"If you take uncovered meat and put it on the street ... without a cover and
the cats eat it, is it the fault of the cat or the uncovered meat?" the
sheik asked in his sermon given before 500 worshippers at Lakemba Mosque.
"The uncovered meat is the problem. If the meat was covered, the cats
wouldn't roam around it. If the meat is inside the fridge, they won't get it
.... if the woman is in her boudoir, in her house and if she's wearing the
veil and if she shows modesty, disasters don't happen."

The disaster he referred to happened in 2000. Miss C., an 18-year-old girl,
was raped 25 times by up to 14 men. Her only enticement was being a young,
white, unprotected Australian. Sitting on a train, she was dressed for a job
interview in her best suit and reading "The Great Gatsby." Accosted by the
Muslim rapists, she was called a ***** (and later, an "Aussie pig"). Bilal
Skaf, one of the rapists, boasted to the terrified girl that he was going to
rape her "Leb style."
"I looked in his eyes," she said. "I had never seen such indifference." And
this is what Elhilaly, in Muslim distortion of truth, calls "flirting."
Attention, ladies everywhere outside the Islamic Gulag: When you dress up in
your best Donna Karan, knee-length business suit with matching classic
pumps, you are "uncovered meat." Of course, you could raise yourself to the
level of "covered meat" whenever you leave the house by donning a
full-length burqa with a meshed slot for your eyes.
In reference to the recent gang rape trial of Skaf, Elhilaly commented: "A
woman possesses the weapon of seduction. It is she who takes off her
clothes, shortens them, flirts, puts on make?up and powder and takes to the
streets, God protect us ... then it's a look, then a smile, then a
conversation ... then a date, then a meeting, then a crime, then Long Bay
jail. Then you get a judge, who has no mercy, and he gives you 65 years."
Elhilaly later tried to deny the avalanche of criticism by lying. He said
that his sermon referred only to prostitution, not to rape of ordinary
women. Unfortunately for him, his 17-minute rant was tape-recorded. He did
talk about rape and didn't even mention prostitution.
In the Muslim doctrine of Elhilaly, women are a "weapon" used by "Satan" to
control men. In cases of "zina" (adultery), the responsibility falls 90
percent of the time on the woman. Note that this differs radically from the
biblical law of Moses that preceded Muhammad by 2,000 years; even in that
ancient, primitive time, a Hebrew woman was at fault in rape cases only if
the attack were in a city and she failed to cry for help.
As one Australian recently wrote, "After no fewer than eight gang-rape
trials involving Muslim defendants, and hundreds of incidents in which women
have been insulted as 'sluts' and 'whores' by Muslim men, the charade is
over. We have a problem."
Yes. The problem is that in the Islamic world, men are allowed to behave
like children and maniacs. Somebody else (like women) must always be at
fault. Unlike Christians, they never have any assurance of heaven. They
cannot admit to guilt in anything because "Allah" is not a god of grace and
forgiveness. My own sister Ginger was once surrounded by would-be rapists on
a street in Tehran. Fortunately, she has a commanding presence when riled,
and the attackers gave way when she yelled, "You call yourselves Muslims?
Would Allah be pleased with you?" They apparently realized that Allah would
not forgive them. (She later commented to me, "Thank God for Allah!")
Islam has lost all our respect. Let us not continue to laud it as "one of
the great religions of the world." It's the world's second-biggest religion,
but not great by any other measure. It is merely a plague - a brutal,
old-world system of oppression and war started by a man who "wed" a captured
child of 9. His legacy lives on.

tennis courts (fenced in) because consistently any tennis playing by
girl students, resulted in crowds of Muslim men (twenty or so) all
standing outside the fence, actively and visibly masturbating.

Actually, thats a funny image ... Muslim prayers in a nudist colony.
One of the fundementals of power over people , is to create guilt. Body
guilt being the best example. If it wasnt for the "forbidden fruit" there
wouldnt be so many of us.

I've heard of, is not hard evidance thought huh? I agree with
Sammybaby here, where are the comparitve figures, with out that it is
just propoganda.
I worked once in an all girl Muslim school only for a couple of days, a
few years ago when I took a break from IT to be a gardner(why I wanted
to tell you that I don't know *shrug*), and during this couple of days
I got a hell of a lot of whislteing, cat calling, oi sexy bum, etc...
Which all in all shows that at least acording to my experiances, the
girls in this Mulsim school acted just the same as non Mulsims.

science included. It seems odd to point out one of these flawed human

I can agree with the observation that we are talking about the same
"kind" of thing but we have a difference of the "degree" of it. I also
agree that it is currently the most backwards "mainstream religion."
But there are plenty of backwards religions and societies still
existing under the radar, unless you like Anthropology.
Maybe we are talking about a "degree" of development towards a global
ideal of civilization, even if this goal has become universal and not
just British or American.
So we might always have some socieites ahead and some behind and others
scattered along a gradient of developmental states. How do we find
those criteria for saying "when" is not enough, enough, or too much?
Would it be something like any society 23 degrees less civilized should
be bombed into the present global experience?

The Problem of the Criterion
A general argument against the invocation of any standard for knowledge
has come to be known as "the problem of the criterion." As we have just
seen, there have been disputes about standards of knowledge. Some are
about particular kinds of arguments that provide evidence for knowledge
claims. As we will see shortly, others are about the degree of
evidential support or reliability required for knowledge. The
Pyrrhonian skeptics used an argument designed to instill doubt that any
such standard can be established.
Suppose there is a dispute about a standard of knowledge. If the
dispute is to be settled rationally, there must be some means for
settling it. It would do no good of each side simply to assert its
position without argument. So how would a standard of knowledge (or
"criterion of truth," in the language of the Stoics) be defended? It
could only be defended by reference to some standard or other. If the
standard under dispute is invoked, then the question has been begged.
If another standard is appealed to, the question arises again, to be
answered either by circular reasoning or by appeal to yet another
standard. So either the process of invoking standards does not
terminate, or it ends in circular reasoning, and in neither case would
the dispute be settled rationally.
Lehrer takes on the problem of criterion in the guise of the question
whether he can justify his acceptance of his own theory of
justification. He rejects the appeal to a higher-order theory of
justification as well as dogmatic acceptance of the theory (p. 228).
This leaves only circularity, or a "loop" of justification. Lehrer
defends the loop of justification as being virtuous.

Education Network), the media's favorite poster gal for "gay
marriage", is also--surprise!-a paid consultant to the Massachusetts
teachers' union. Paid in taxpayer dollars, to boot. (You may remember
Massachusetts GLSEN from a few years ago as the organizers of graphic,

Ms. Isaacson, according to the grass-roots Article 8 Alliance, these
days makes it a full-time job lobbying state legislators to keep them
from jumping ship on "gay marriage" and voting for the Bill of Address
which would remove the outlaw Supreme Judicial Court judges who
imposed this oxymoron on the people of Massachusetts. Supported by
taxpayers' money, she makes daily, face-to-face visits to individual
lawmakers. Nice work if you can get it.
Too bad you couldn't make it to the gym teachers' state convention in
New Jersey, in February. It wasn't about volleyball. For public school
gym teachers, Job One--according to the convention's floor displays,
handouts, posters, and workshop topics (all of which I saw
personally)--is getting the kids comfy with homosexuality. To this
end, they handed out a "resource guide"--handsomely produced, slick,
paid for largely by Fleet Bank
Inc.--intended for distribution in all the public schools. (For more

You would have seen even more of the same at "Twenty Years of Great

Good point. Is the incidence of rape higher in Islamic societies?
Sir Frederick is sounding a similar note as those who go on about honor
killings, but comparative statistics are never offered about the
incidence of men killing their spouses and (ex)girlfriends in Western
societies. Most cultures have no reason to be proud.
How about children who die of neglect?

I could probaly paint a worse picture with about any major religion,
science included. It seems odd to point out one of these flawed human
attempts but I prefer science over our local primitivism.
In order to argue against Islam this way you must give us a reason to
ignore the crimes of Christianity and Science, so we can focus on the
uniqueness your article points out.
This just in: Extreme Islam and Mainstream Islam are the same thing.
Men beating women, women killing babies, hey, same thing?
Islam had a defining moment Oct. 26. (You know, like the Democrats booing
Boy Scouts at their 2000 national convention.) In Sydney, Sheik Taj el-Dene
Elhilaly was reaffirmed as the Grand Mufti over all of Australia's 350,000
Muslims. The vote of affirmation came from the ruling body of Sydney's
largest mosque after Elhilaly broke all bounds of decency in September by
referring to women in Western dress (that is, no hijab) as "uncovered meat."
"If you take uncovered meat and put it on the street ... without a cover and
the cats eat it, is it the fault of the cat or the uncovered meat?" the
sheik asked in his sermon given before 500 worshippers at Lakemba Mosque.
"The uncovered meat is the problem. If the meat was covered, the cats
wouldn't roam around it. If the meat is inside the fridge, they won't get it
... if the woman is in her boudoir, in her house and if she's wearing the
veil and if she shows modesty, disasters don't happen."

The disaster he referred to happened in 2000. Miss C., an 18-year-old girl,
was raped 25 times by up to 14 men. Her only enticement was being a young,
white, unprotected Australian. Sitting on a train, she was dressed for a job
interview in her best suit and reading "The Great Gatsby." Accosted by the
Muslim rapists, she was called a ***** (and later, an "Aussie pig"). Bilal
Skaf, one of the rapists, boasted to the terrified girl that he was going to
rape her "Leb style."
"I looked in his eyes," she said. "I had never seen such indifference." And
this is what Elhilaly, in Muslim distortion of truth, calls "flirting."
Attention, ladies everywhere outside the Islamic Gulag: When you dress up in
your best Donna Karan, knee-length business suit with matching classic
pumps, you are "uncovered meat." Of course, you could raise yourself to the
level of "covered meat" whenever you leave the house by donning a
full-length burqa with a meshed slot for your eyes.
In reference to the recent gang rape trial of Skaf, Elhilaly commented: "A
woman possesses the weapon of seduction. It is she who takes off her
clothes, shortens them, flirts, puts on make?up and powder and takes to the
streets, God protect us ... then it's a look, then a smile, then a
conversation ... then a date, then a meeting, then a crime, then Long Bay
jail. Then you get a judge, who has no mercy, and he gives you 65 years."
Elhilaly later tried to deny the avalanche of criticism by lying. He said
that his sermon referred only to prostitution, not to rape of ordinary
women. Unfortunately for him, his 17-minute rant was tape-recorded. He did
talk about rape and didn't even mention prostitution.
In the Muslim doctrine of Elhilaly, women are a "weapon" used by "Satan" to
control men. In cases of "zina" (adultery), the responsibility falls 90
percent of the time on the woman. Note that this differs radically from the
biblical law of Moses that preceded Muhammad by 2,000 years; even in that
ancient, primitive time, a Hebrew woman was at fault in rape cases only if
the attack were in a city and she failed to cry for help.
As one Australian recently wrote, "After no fewer than eight gang-rape
trials involving Muslim defendants, and hundreds of incidents in which women
have been insulted as 'sluts' and 'whores' by Muslim men, the charade is
over. We have a problem."
Yes. The problem is that in the Islamic world, men are allowed to behave
like children and maniacs. Somebody else (like women) must always be at
fault. Unlike Christians, they never have any assurance of heaven. They
cannot admit to guilt in anything because "Allah" is not a god of grace and
forgiveness. My own sister Ginger was once surrounded by would-be rapists on
a street in Tehran. Fortunately, she has a commanding presence when riled,
and the attackers gave way when she yelled, "You call yourselves Muslims?
Would Allah be pleased with you?" They apparently realized that Allah would
not forgive them. (She later commented to me, "Thank God for Allah!")
Islam has lost all our respect. Let us not continue to laud it as "one of
the great religions of the world." It's the world's second-biggest religion,
but not great by any other measure. It is merely a plague - a brutal,
old-world system of oppression and war started by a man who "wed" a captured
child of 9. His legacy lives on.

incidence of men killing their spouses and (ex)girlfriends in Western
societies. Most cultures have no reason to be proud.
How about children who die of neglect?
Individual rights seem to be the best focus instead of the rights of
groups or factions. When any individual has the legal right to
challenge any and all groups then you have one sort of society. But
when groups decide things with less concern for consequences to
individuals you have another.

I agree, though I'd like to add my concern that modern 'western'
societies manage to swallow up complaints and challenges. They slide
to the periphery, they are delayed, justice may come quietly years
later, with no bite, having been repeated in slightly different forms.
Ideas that are not mainstream, and this includes individuals suffering
problems caused by the mainstream are spun in the media. Their
interests made 'special', their viewpoints called 'radical' as an
insult. Think of the victims of intentional pollution in poor areas.
The years in court, the final settlement, the company has already
relocated and polluted another area, profits outweigh penalties,
appeals reduce judgements. There is a delay and dissipate strategy
couple with the use of the media. So what seems on the surface this
complex set of struggling individuals all with access has within it
momentum that benefits only some. In societies that are authoritarian
the crimes of the governing are clear and offensive and opposition
suppressed by open violence. In societies that are theoretically open
and ALLOW dissent and challenge, the suffering tend to be
'unitnetionally causeed and regretted' collateral, a neccessary evil.
Or it does not really exist. It is a conspiracy theory, the ideas of
non-realists. And so these individuals slide to the periphery
suffering the same thing perhaps as their counterpart in the other kind
of society, but without OPEN AND HONEST CHURCH AND STATE SANCTION. We
are media savvy.

To be fair though, most cultures don't condone it.
