Object: OT: Ethical Decision
You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around you
caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical
proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper,
and
you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is
nearly
hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses
and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water.
Nature
is unleashing all of its destructive fury.
Suddenly you see a man floundering in the water. He is fighting for his
life, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. . .
somehow the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is.
It's George W. Bush!
You have two options--you can save the life of George W. Bush or you
can
shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of
one of the world's most powerful men.
So here's the question, and please give an honest answer...
Would you select high contrast color film, or would you go with the
classic simplicity of black and white?

That's a good one, got me right up to the last sentence.
High contrast colour of course!

The Bible
If you're going to write a good bit of fantasy fiction, at least put some
goblins or trolls in it, you dumb cunts. Given the choice between this
bollocks and the Lord of the Rings, which one do you think we're going to
go for? The Bible with its bunch of bearded nomad hippies talking shite, or
something with fucking battles and dragons?
And I think you're forgetting the first page, which should read: 'All
characters in this book are fictitious and any resemblance to any real
persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental'.
I liked the bit when God and Jesus have a lightsaber duel on a bridge
though.

What's the light like? You need good contrast for B&W, and that usually
means daylight, best with sun.

On reflection, some people might prefer digital. They could photoshop
their foot out of the picture easier.

Heard on alt.atheism...

You believe in a book that has talking animals, wizards, witches,
demons, sticks turning into snakes, food falling from the sky, people
walking on water, and all sorts of magical, absurd and primitive
stories, and you say that we are the ones that need help?

I agree with the others. Go digital.
Color is no longer the issue.
Do you go for single frame for the high quality that will win the prize or
film strip so you can make money selling the loop on eBay?
Or maybe set the camera down and get video and audio.

I would try to make sure NO picture was taken.
