The most important thing to know about tricyclic antidepressants is to
*never* take them along with another category of drugs known as MAO
inhibitors.
Side effects may include constipation, dizziness, dry mouth, impotence,
increased appetite, increased sweating, indigestion, libido changes, nausea,
nervousness, sleepiness, tremor, twitching, visual changes, weight gain,
weight loss.
I *think* tricyclic antidepressants are typically well tolerated.
