re: The principle (a life for a life) of cap punishment

reasonable, common sensical, and not injust (if it's not a corrupt
b.s.
process)

If a murderer, that deliberately took my life for profit or
personal
reasons, did not forfeit his life I would regard it as an an
abomination. The real reconciliation for an act of premeditated
murder
is that the murderer, in short order, be introduced to the same
future
they accorded to their victims.

The alternative, life imprisonment, allows murderers freedom from
hunger, access to adequate health care and the opportunity to
educate
themselves. It is ironic that many murder victims, if allowed to
live,
would not have been accorded the same security by our free society.

If you believe that not one human life is sacrificable for societal
stability, that humans are blameless victims of their generic and
cultural heritage, that any and all criminals can be rehabilitated,
and
that no one should judge lest they judged, then IMO you have
intellectually divorced yourself from human condition. You are
just
as divorced from humanity as a parent who volunteers the sacrifice
of
a child for the common good (Isiah). Just as divorced from
humanity
as those who oppose the execution of a pedophile who has admitted
to
the rape and murder of a five-year old innocent.

Legisilation should be founded on what we are, not on what idealists
claim we should be! Murderers are human but we who demand that
they
pay the ultimate price recognize a greater humanity in their
victims.

So we should extinguish the "insane"? ( how else would you describe
your
pedophile example)?

BOfL

Should I assume you make this ridiculous stretch because you believe
that murderous pedophiles and rapists are all insane? Their actions
are motivated by self-gratification and IMO they should be treated
the same as other murderous thieves. Or is it your opinion that all
criminality is insanity?
Zinnic

Making statements like 'ridiculous stretch' doesnt inspire me to have a
meaningful conversation, however, how do you define "insane"?

BOfL

You did not answer my questions relating to what YOU mean by "insane".
Your 'cop out' in demanding I define a word ("insane") that you
introduced demonstrates that you are not interested in a meaningful
conversation.
Regards...Zinnic.

Not so. Insane is what insane does. Raping pedaphiles are hardly balanced
individualls.

Capital Punishment vs. Abortion? Both Are Just Fine!
The State is but an artificial man, with sovereignty as soul, officers as joints, reward and punishment as nerves, wealth as strength, laws as reason.
Decision as unit of measurement for punishment.?
