Today we have corporate totalitarianism. Noam Chomsky explains it very
well...

Capitalism and corporatism are indeed totalitarian economic systems.

Capitalism and corporatism are indeed totalitarian economic systems.
At all times or are there times when capitalism, corporatism and communism
can be merely authoritarian or even egalitarian? If you say at all times
then we run into a contradiction since it is unreasonable to believe that
you can predict all times.

Mathematical induction suffices for our purposes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematical_induction
Capitalism/corporatism are modern spins on age-old oppression. That we
are not born with property, and must live in servitude for 30 years to
obtain it, tells all. We spent a lifetime buying property at a price
far higher than the value of the property itself (via mortgage, usury,
etc.) and so the system is built on exploitation ground-up. Land itself
is free. That we need to work for it is the result of coercive
monopolization. The Libertarians have reasonable goals, but utterly
wrong assumptions and mechanics. Liberty must always remain
self-evident. If you need to labor your life for it, it's anything but
a system based on liberty.
