Should Harvard revoke Bush's MBA? |
Now that George W Bush has proven that he is fully
dedicated to practicing Voodoo Economics, i.e.
spending like a drunken sailor, removing taxes
from those who can pay, giving corporations
massive tax breaks, and all the while borrowing
from adversaries like China to pay for it all,
it seems the evidence that Bush learned nothing
at Harvard is so overwhelming that perhaps his
MBA should be revoked. After all, his old Harvard
professors signed a letter asking Bush to go back
to his textbooks and finally learned what they said,
because his economic practices are so alarmingly
disastrous.

Retroactive revocation is fairly rare.
Usually its crime or fraud during student
tenure, perhaps not convicted until after
graduation. An exmple comes to mind
is MIT revoked a couple degrees of students
who embezzled significant amounts from the
school newspaper bank account.

Googling "Harvard revoke degree" shows the option exists in
their honor code and has been applied to in the past.
Its generally for crimes and academic fraud during student tenure,
but not determined until after the degree awarded.
