The "Metastacizing" Islamist Terrorists Problem Argument Leads to Genocide |
I'm as anti-Cheney/anti-oil quagmire as you can get but the anti-war
argument that the Iraqi quagmire is "metastacizing" the Islamist fundy
suicide terrorist problem pretty much says:
"Muslims are too dumb or vicious to act out of anything except passion.
They will never be free and independent thinking."
If that's the case then President Cheney needs to forget about
"democratization" and start the carpet bombing.

I think that this inference is unwarranted. A better one would be:
"There are a sufficiently large number of Muslims who are dumb or vicious or
otherwise malleable and a sufficiently large number of religious and secular
leaders in the Middle East, each with his own agenda, to cause a significant
amount of trouble to the developed world".
Consider that it only took a small number of zealots to bring down the twin
towers. Suicide bombings were unheard of in Iraq before the war started,
(however prevalent they might have been in Palestine, where war has been the
status quo for some time now).

Cheney thinks that the current situation in Iraq is spreading like a
disease. In what way is it spreading "like" a disease I wonder?
Fast?
Incurably?
Like cancer?
Like a scab that keeps getting picked at?

Cheney is still saying utopia will break out in Iraq if we just keep
those bid free Halliburton contracts coming for a few more years.
It's the anti-war types who claim we are spreading Islamist
fundamentalism with the Iraq war.
I agree but the "metastacizing" argument isn't much help.
It suggests that there isn't anyone over in the Muslim World who is
capable of understanding the West.
The real problem is Halliburton just wants to steal trillions of oil.

I'd suggest there isn't anyone in the World (never mind the Muslim
World) who understands Cheney! Which means that everyone (except
Cheney) has at least one thing in common.

Cheney just a really greedy opportunist. He doesn't really care what
happens to anyone, not the GOP, not W. Bush, not the neocons, possibly
not even himself.

Maybe they understand the West just too well? Right now they are forcing
the US to stay in Iraq and to continue a war they can't ever win, losing
money and soldiers faster and faster and destroying the remainders of
their own reputation by breaking about all laws they were promoting.

Probably true -- "gift he gives us to see ourselves as other see us."
In fact, if anyone wanted to gleen something useful from the East/West
thingy, he'ld talk to both sides.
This doesn't address my issue however.

Definitely true.
