When someone is in love with you, even if you don't find them
attractive, you are in a position to be a good influence in their lives
and help them come to a better place.
Often people are nasty to those who feel that way about them, if they
are not attracted to them. They see in such situations an inconvenience
or a menace; I see an opportunity to do good to a fellow human being.
So when someone is attracted to me, to whom I am not attracted, I seek
to figure out what that person actually needs and help them to get it.
"You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you may
get what you need."
