Object: . A leading indicator .
Once again , John Bailo incorrectly thinks ,
" Wall Street declined today because of
pessimism from Alan Greenspan " .

" the data showed U.S. crude oil stocks
at a new low since 1975 "
....
" In its weekly U.S. petroleum inventory report ,
the EIA said crude oil stocks fell 1.5 million barrels
to a new historic low of 263.7 million barrels
for the week ended Jan. 23 . "
Oil was 36 dollars per barrel a few days ago ,
at the start of 1999 it was 11 dollars .

The price of oil is the best way
to measure the value of the dollar .
( And the dollar is the stock of the U.S. government )
That's why the market fell .
The price of oil is a leading indicator .

I think the leading indicator is the # of Relf posts.
Bad economy: high Relf posts
Good economy: no Relf posts
Small dip due to Greenspan's big mouth: a few Relf posts.

Hi John Bailo , You imagine a new indicator ,
" Bad economy : high Relf posts " .
That's not true ,
Although I didn't have a home connection at the time ,
I posted a lot about the folly of the tech bubble
while it was in progress ,
starting with Netscape in 1995 .
You're wrong to follow the stock market minute by minute ,
I think in terms of decades , not minutes .
Tech stocks still have
a long way to fall in the coming years .

And obviously you were too stupid to take advantage of it or you
wouldn't be here whining every night.

Ok, so the market will have a bad day tomorrow because you've resurfaced
and started posting again....but since you didn't post as much as you
used to -- I think I'll stick to avoid the short term capital gains.

Jeff, surely you more than anyone else should know that it has been ages
since the pathetic John Bailo thought correctly. He just makes up
numbers/statistics to suit whatever delusion/hallucination he is absorbed in
at the moment. Hopefully, some day he will get the professional care he
needs.

Title: Are you taking your meds ? 29 Jan 2004 02:43:49 AM
Hi Mike , a.k.a. Earthlink ,
Re: Bailo's errors ,
You say ,
" Hopefully , some day he will get
the professional care he needs " .
Dude , from what I've seen from you ,
you could use a little professional help yourself .
Bailo has a lot of good ideas ,
that's why I read his stuff .
While you , on the other hand ,
have never written anything beyond , " Take your meds " .
P.S. Are you taking your meds ?
.
