Hi:
I saw two expressions for complex electrical permittivity:
CI_D = sqrt(-1.0)
e = e_relative*e0+CI_D*sigma/omega
and
e = e_relative*e0-CI_D*sigma/omega
Here omega is angular freq, sigma is elec conductivity, e_relative is
relative
elec permittivity.
Which expression should one use? Or does this relate to whether one uses
E = a*exp( CI_D*k*x ) = a*exp( CI_D*omega/C*x )
= a*exp( CI_D*omega*sqrt( e*mu )*x )
where mu is magnetic permittivity
Or E = a*exp( -CI_D*k*x )?
Which complex e should be used?
