Object: . Hawking radiation .
Howdy G=EMC^2 Glazier , You say
" Neutron stars give off lots of radiation ,
and a BH not a photon "
Hawking radiation works like this :
- At the quantum level we can only see a " Particle's "
probabilistic positions ( e.g. Tunneling )
and probabilistic energies .
( i.e Virtual , even negative , energies )
- In an accelerating frame of reference ,
( Whether as at the horizon of a black hole
or at every point in
the accelerating expansion of our universe )
some of this virtual energy
gets converted into Real energy
in the same direction as the acceleration ,
allowing it to escape the accelerating frame .
So it's likely that :
- Frozen stars ( a.k.a. Black holes )
will slowly evaporate until they explode .
- The universe will slowly lose all of it's heat .
i.e. All of it's mass , gravitation and energy .
.
