FUNDAMENTALISM

in all realms of thought

humanity has this great confidence
because we have accomplished "so much more"

so much more than any other animal encountered

just

we are winners

the leap of belief
occurs when something that is favored likely
becomes something unquestionably true

when other
more symbolically relevant data
may indicate the belief more unlikely

strange dynamics form

it is my belief that these dynamics can be harmful
so this is a war
like the war on plaque

a doctor's war
and thus neverending

corporations related to the war
will thus benefit both greatly and indefinitely

has a political action wing

we call ourselves the antiamerican party

we consider ourselves the true americans
and thus are liars

that makes us great businessmen

well actually we intend
also to replace the democratic party
but we must have priorities here

because we accept that
often deconstructing power structures
is healthier than constructing them

fundamentalism builds power structures

whether in militarism
or nationalism
or religion

we are not for a "righteous" or "truthful" america

we are for a healthy america
and we know that there are measurable harms
that require governmental structure

we are more interested in actually helping
than being consistent

and so calling ourselves anarchists
is just another lie
