I have already sent an email to become a member of the AAAS and stop
this madness of science suppression in the twenty first century. I
guess the loss of ignorance is a big threat to all of religious faith.
Here is a link to the story and the email to become a member!

Heh heh... just take a look at how many "scientists" of various ilk suppress
science in this newsgroup. IF they don't agree on something, instead of
getting educated on the subject they resort to the first bastion of
thuggery - character assassination. How many 'Baby' scientists have left
this newsgroup and the field of science in general, shaking their heads in
wonderment at how good a home the former members of the Star Chamber have
found. You gotta have a thick skin to be a independent researcher in this
environment.
I hereby propose re-classification of establishment scientists and star
chamber aficionados under the moniker "Csientists" to distinguish them from
the true knowledge seekers of the world, and to serve as a warning to fellow
scientists everywhere that this is exactly what they aren't.

The story is about major theaters not showing films referring to
evolution because of protests. Not mainstream science vs alternative
science. Sorry wrong bandwagon. But if you believe that science is
closer to the truth than religious mum-bo jumbo becoming a member of
the AAAS would help!

HA HA HAHA HA Greysky has no clue that the scientific method incorporates
empirical data.

Wormley finds the abuse, torture, and murder of empiricism by Csientists
passing themselves off as Scientists amusing. How much empirical data is
lost whenever some bright sole decides to pursue a career in the Law instead
of Physics, after reading the treatment others receive here? They try
conversing with a 'real, sure-enough scientist', only to be met and gang
banged by the Csientist poseurs that inhabit these newsgroups solely for the
purpose of fulfilling their Stygian duty to collect fresh soles for delivery
to that great anti-god, Statusquo. In your case, I suppose familiarity
breeds forgetfulness, eh?

Right. Even now, there are waves of Nothing passing through you, interacting
with every particle in your body. Suppressing Nothing without denying its
non-existance will only leave one feeling frustrated. Best to just forget it
ever didn't exist ;)

No. That was Orman and his FTL cables. I am not selling anything. Yet. So,
how much would you be willing to plunk down at the local Radio Shack for a
FTL Communicator?

Do expect that your signals could pass through the Earth? Could they
pass through water? Or do they require air or space for transmission?
Much of the delay that we hear in far away communications on Earth is
from the repeated amplification and relaying of the signal to get it
around the world. If a signal could be broadcast straight through the
Earth from say Washington, DC to Beijing, and at FTL speed at that,
then this problem of the lag would be solved, and your equipment might
be worth big bucks to the communication industry.
Otherwise, its advantages on Earth would be marginal.

This depends on its range.
Lemme see, the difference between here and the US is a 5000 km on avarage...
5 000 000 / 300 000 000 = 0.016
The speed gain on earth..... So if a normal one is 100$, 2 cents more.
More if it worked all the way to mars.
Even more if to the stars.

Limitations is due to buildup of phase noise due to particle
self-interaction. The individual particle contribution is small, but
cumulative. It should work within our galaxy, but probably not over
cosmological distances. Even so, at 2 cents per 5000 Km, measured over a
diameter of 200, 0000 LY I don't think you are rich enough to afford one.
Don't worry. My ultimate goal is to have them available at your local
retailer's at a price point that would make them the perfect seasonal
holiday gift for your kids.
