Absence |
Darkness is the absence of light, and winter is the absence of heat.
The unconscious that surrounds me is the absence of my consciousness.
I did not originate from the unconscious, just as light did not
originate from the darkness. No, light casts its shadows and makes the
darkness.
My senses are the shadows of my consciousness, and so are yours. We
are like a water fall. Droplets of water that are separated in space
for a few moments, only to be rejoined again in the river below us. We
are very much like the waterfall. In the winter it freezes over, and in
spring the water turns to mist and rises into the clouds. The light
from the sun is what creates the water, its heat changes it from one
element into another. The water is only a temporal distortion of
light.
From a fourth dimensional viewpoint the water fall is the river, it is
ice, and it is the clouds. With enough energy the water itself turns
back into light, and with enough time the water will eventually cool to
the point of pure darkness. We are also in a very similar transitional
state. Human consciousness is only partly illuminated.
Our skepticism, and curiosity of who we are have formed are unconscious
shadows. We illuminate into our unconscious and remain where we always
have been, just as light can coexist in two locations. This is how the
conscious mind of light reproduces itself. To begin with there was
only the limit of consciousness because unconsciousness is an
impossibility. The conscious mind can only conceive the illusion, and
in doing so give birth to itself in all of its forms.
But if all of this were true, how could anyone ever prove it?
