Air Pressure In A Sauna |
I am researching the effects of air pressure on human psychology and
physiology, which is influenced in part by gravity and the tidal forces
of the moon. Astronauts in space have unusual responses to the low
gravity environment, and I thought that at low air pressures on earth
some of the same things may occur. Is it possible to create a low air
pressure environment by building a Sauna? I thought that maybe high
temperature and moisture in the air would lower pressure.

I am researching the effects of air pressure on human psychology and
physiology,
This is already well known, since the early40's
which is influenced in part by gravity and the tidal forces
of the moon.
These have little to no effect on air pressure

low gravity and low air pressure are not related
Is it possible to create a low air
pressure environment by building a Sauna?
no.
I thought that maybe high
temperature and moisture in the air would lower pressure.
no stays the same.

You're about 70 years late getting on the bandwagon; the subject has
been studied to death since the invention of the airplane.

Nope, hardly any influence at all, mostly influenced by the heating
effects of the sun.

gravity environment, and I thought that at low air pressures on earth

Apples and oranges.

No.
You want low pressure, wait for the next storm to pass through.

On a new medication? The dosage might need adjusting.

the air inside is the same psi as outside.
Id say 3 psi should buckel the bulheads.
water and steam will just displace some air.
it wount change the psi inside the sauna .
5 psi would crush the nutz in the sauna.
unless yer on a ship.
Buy a cruise ship at shipreop.com
pack 380 tenents into the sauna ..
click it on ,,,ask then how the air is

Check out literature on native Chileans, who have adapted for life at
10,000+ feet. And Hymalayan (sp?) sherpas, they can operate in regions
the rest of us cannot.
Astronauts in space have unusual responses to the low
gravity environment, and I thought that at low air pressures on earth

These are completely unrelated. Micro-g environments have physiological
effects to to the loss of bouyancy, something that does not occur as a
result of low atmospheric pressure. The main physiological effect of
low air pressure is hypoxia, IMO.
Is it possible to create a low air
pressure environment by building a Sauna? I thought that maybe high

I would start by doing a literature search first: much cheaper and easier.

Just go to Denver or the top of a mountain.
18000 feet altitude is about half atmospheric pressure.
The fact is people every day experience significant pressure changes:
most aircraft cabins are pressurized to about 7000 feet.
It's likely your 'research' is looking in directions already very much
explored.
