Are we tuching object or feeling them? |
My teacher said that an object never touches surface, there is a tiny
gap between the object and the surface, although it is so tiny that we
can't see.
If we are not tuching anything, then are we feeling them? Also, how
come we get finger-prints -- if we are not tuching any object?

than the rest of the atom, surrounded by a thin, barely-there cloud of

So when the atoms of your finger (a cloud of buzzing electrons around a
tiny nucleus) come adjacent to the atoms of your desk (another cloud of
buzzing electrons around a very tiny nucleus), what keeps one
barely-there cloud of electrons from just whistling through another
barely-there cloud of electrons?

Given the meaning of touch--you do "touch" the surface... all "touching"
is done at the photon level.
