As a budding Terrorist... |
Might it be possible...???
To construct a 'Nuclear' Bomb without using those expensive
fissionable materials...???
i'm thinking that the preferred materials, such as Uranium or
Plutonium are first picks because they're so intrinsically unstable
that they're just itching to chain react with explosive
consequences...
But-- Could you use an alternative material; Oh... Like Bismuth, and
heat it up to a plasma state, then bombard it with an intense a stream
of neutrons, to get it to blow up...
Granted; this may not result in an award winning x-megaton explosion,
but it might be sufficient to merit a one or two day news spot...
???

You could make a so called 'dirty bomb' that contaminates the
environment for a long time.
