10 Aug 2005 - The high resolution X-ray spectrometer XRS on
the Japanese Suzaku (formerly Astro-E2) mission has failed
due to a cryostat failure. The XRS was originally to be on
AXAF, now the Chandra X-ray Observatory. It was then on
Astro-E which had a launch failure. Astro E2 launched
successfully on 10 Jul 2005.

That doesn't matter. I have it on good authority that true science is
NEVER about the money. Space telescopes are expensive, so they obviously
have nothing to do with true science.

Wow, that sounds truly snakebit. My sympathy to the people involved who
have thrown years of their careers into this.

When your office changes its name and orders new stationery, always
precede that with your resume sent out.
