Interesting thought.
Perhaps a lightwave (two-dimensions) swung
around a mass and became an electron
and a positron (3D).
Hope we're not the positron.

Sorry to disillusion you, but light waves have three dimensions.=20

The vectors (all the same length) represent the constant energy.
That's why we call light "electromagnetic radiation" instead of magnetic
or electric radiation.

Hmmm. So, you can tell if a photon
goes by without being hit by it?

It was pretty much the birth of *everything* - matter, energy, space
(all 3 dimensions), time, etc.

Actually, you can't say this, how do you know it was the birth of
*everything*.

Cameron -- How can you ask if the BB is the birth of the third
dimension? What's the difference?

Whats the difference between a Canary? One leg is green, the other one is
also yellow!
I know its a crazy question but I need to get me head around it mate.
Imagine nothing! I've tried but I can't. There has to have been *something*
:) Singularity sucks, there's something not quite right about that whole
theory. Call it a hunch!!!!!
And you're going to tell me to take my metaphysical dogma elsewhere yes?

Actually, you can't say this, how do you know it was the birth of
*everything*.

It is by definition the beginning of everything in this universe (which
by definition is everything which can be observed - i.e. everything
'physical'). Anything that is not in this universe cannot be observed
[the contrapositive of the definition -
http://www.bartleby.com/61/74/C0607400.html ]
This means that the Big Bang is the beginning of everything *physical*,
including all those things that I listed.
There may be things that existed 'before the beginning of the universe'
(whatever *that* means, since _time_ itself began along with the rest
of the universe, so the word before cannot have any temporal meaning
here), but they are not observable objects/events/interactions.
Discussions of anything that predates the physical universe are
discussions of meta-physical phenomena. Discussions of such should be
posted elsewhere.

Prove there was a Big Bang. Produce evidence.
