When I was in school Halliday and Resnick was an excellent textbook
for freshman taking physics and calculus.

My opinion is that chemists would be better able to tell you
about chemistry texts, and math types about math texts.
I stopped taking chemistry as soon as I had my requirement
for non-physics classes filled. Chem labs were a bother.
"You were doing acid-base titration with very weak
concentrations of each. How did you start a fire?"
"How did I start a fire? I don't know. That's the problem!"

sci.phys --- good for physics, bad for chemistry, medium to bad for
math
(Well, lately bad for everything.)
sci.chem --- good for chemistry, bad for physics, medium to bad for
math
sci.math --- good for math, bad for chemistry, medium to bad for math
You want chemistry books, ask in sci.chem.
You want math books, ask in sci.math.
Also, searching at groups.google.com in the newsgroup of your choice
could not hurt.

AGREED

yes, i have.

You want math books, ask in sci.math.

i get the idea, science is strongly related to maths, so
mathematicians would have been good at chem also during college times,
when they had to choose b/w math-phy-chem.

Also, searching at groups.google.com in the newsgroup of your choice

pardon...
