can we live without death? |
dear friends,
i find it difficult to understand the affinity for death that seems to
be all pervasive. the gods you worship give you pain and death. i
choose not to die. i choose life eternal through science.
will you join me?

Unfortunately actuarially speaking you will be dead by 400
irrespective of what potential life span you may have. Probability is
gonna get you!!!!!!!

i fear that despite my best efforts, some of us will still sucumb to
the overwhelming lust for death. cloned organs are within easy reach.
the next step is to perfect spinal regeneration in humans before
proceeding with complete body replacements. this will involve delicate
operations which have the potential to be recklessly performed by
incompetant surgeons. one thing is clear, we will need many more
surgeons and probably cheaper or free health care if everyone is to
benefit from this revolution.

Actually they do. I consider certain members of sci.life-extension,
including Tom/Paul Mathews/Wakfur to be zombies, as they appear to have no
soul, as far as I'm concerned they are dead.
So you can be dead to some things, alive to others.
And for those of us who have seen the whole picture, we know that there is
no death for humans, just taking on another form or existing in a work the
materialists who belong to these groups couldn't understand.
