Cell-Phone Jamming = Liberal Terrorism! |

CELL PHONE JAMMERS have perfectly legitimate applications in
law-enforcement and intervention against possible terrorists
using cell phones for communication. However, as with almost
any technology, the liberal terrorists can use these jammers
to prevent a cell phone user within range of the jammer from
calling 911 to report an emergency--e.g. to report potential
terrorist activity, murder, armed robbery, forcible rape, or
any similarly violent and dangerous criminal activities that
need to be reported to the authorities immediately. Even the
emergency workers' cell phones are at risk of being disabled!
So we can see the far-reaching consequences of ignoring this
problem which threatens to undermine our national security.
Even as the Google liberals censored the public newsgroup ar-
chives in the wake of their bitter election defeats November
7, 2000 and November 2, 2004, the liberals are now depending
on the cell phone jammers to aid and abet Al-Qaeda terrorist
cells in the USA and around the free world to prevent anyone
from reporting their nefarious activities to law-enforcement
before the liberal terrorists can attack their targets using
WMDs like chemical, biological, radiological, and/or nuclear
devices on populated regions and other hi-value targets like
nuclear reactors, water treatment facilities, military bases,
etc. etc. It is therefore that our government needs to take
swift and aggressive action to remove these jammers from the
hands of liberal terrorists and their jihadist constituents
who hate America and wish to do us all lethal harm--en masse!
If you know of *ANYONE* who is in unauthorized possession of
one or more cell phone jammer, notify your local authorities
immediately. NO law-abiding civilian has any business owning
or possessing such a device, and I hope that our nation will
pass new laws classifying such devices as terrorist weapons,
and punish those who violate these laws via the Patriot Act.
Hopefully, law-enforcement already has the needed technology
to triangulate and pinpoint any unauthorized jammers in use;
if not, then the Anti-American liberals have another tool to
assist Al-Qaeda in attacking the USA *again*...remember 9/11.

The are many legitimate applications for local area cell phone jammers
and thankfully many such devices are already being marketed. They are
installed to prevent cell phone use in locations where the public is
oblivious to posted restrictions and/or where their use is annoying or
disruptive to others.
Major customers include owners/operators of:
Theatres
Restaurants
Libraries
Hospitals
Churches
Funeral homes
Lecture halls
Schools
Etc.
Look forward to seeing more cell phone jammers in the future as they
are increasingly needed/justified by an inconsiderate few cell phone
users.

that is pocket sized with an effective radius of, say, 100
ft., legal or otherwise?

The FACTs are simply that while local area cell phone jammers are
currently illegal in the US, that law is not being enforced and will
likely be eliminated in the near future due to increasing public
outrage. This is something that accounts for the increasing popularity
and use of jammers.. Some government owned factilities such as some
court rooms already use them in open defiance of federal law.

In operation local area jammers accomplish the same result as would
enclosing the area in r.f. impervious shielding (a Faraday Cage), but
at much lower cost.

I'll grant you that it would be a serious violation of federal law were
a powerful cell phone jammer to be operated in public space over a wide
area, however, this is not the nature or purpose of the devices being
marketed today and designed to cover an area of essentialy private
space..
Getting back to the original post on this thread: It is not immediately
clear to me how a cell phone jammer would be useful to law enforcement.
For this application, just the opposite is needed by probiding a
mechanism to intercept, monitor, and trace cell phone conversations.

So you are saying it is only a matter of time before it is legal to jam any RF transmission? Sounds
