Metaphysics, is one of those words that doesn't get tossed around much
anymore. These days people talk about paranormal phenomenon, but
metaphysics is still a good word. It literally means the physics of
physics. And that is what I'll try to briefly explain here.
The newest science that man has been learning about, is the science of
the environment. Understanding nature, the weather, animals, plant's,
the earth, and the ocean. Even understanding the stars. What we have
discovered is that the natural world is so complex, there aren't any
answers that we have to explain any one aspect of the world without
considering the whole universe. Everything is interdependent.
If we remove one aspect from the environment, or if we add to it, then
there is no telling what the long term effects of the changes will
be. Even just posting to usenet has tremendous, but unpredictable
power. In an ecosystem there are keystone's that life depends upon,
but everything is valuable to the whole. If a keystone is removed
sometimes life cannot adapt and change, but it can be just as damaging
if something more insignificant is removed (even if life eventually
adapts).
For example this winter it didn't get very cold in the midwest. Where
I live, the birds sang all winter. Many of them didn't even fly
south. But when the snow came through, a number of them died of frost
bite. Birds know that they need to fly south, but there are so many
principles that they base the deciscion on, that when the cold air
wasn't there, they decided not to fly to warmer weather. Temperature
isn't even a documented way that birds tend to fly south yet, but
magnetism is, and so is the direction of the sun.
In physics we have certain clear cut laws, like the ones laid down by
Newtain. There are also other laws, like what Einstein discovered,
and even quantum physics. There is pure mathematics, and theories
that no one can prove. But what is so interesting is that many of
these parts of physics seem to contradict each other. No one really
feels like they do, because they are seperate areas that don't
interconnect.
But there are also some principles of physics that interconnect into
all the other areas. Studying gravity for example there are some
really cool experiments I've witnessed that contradict everything we
know about Newtain's physics, and defy current models about what
gravity is. There based around independent principles and experiments
that compete with the traditional laws. Like two animals in the
jungle that are both at the top of the food chain.
With psychology as well, the currents interconnect. We all know that
psychology has an influence on the environment, and Carl Jung
theorized that the power of the mind may be even more significant, and
it can produce order and synchronicity. There are many ways that
psychology can manefest through the body. With our words, with our
actions. Through our unconscious physiological responses, like heart
rate, sweat, pheremones, and body language. But even more than that,
it is broadcasted out in the universe through electromagnetic
radiation, like a radio signal, and our gravitational field
interconnects into the whole dynamic of the universe.
Ultimately everything is relative, and when you start using principles
of nature that have been ignored, because other theories are accepted
as the only possible truth, then you begin seperating yourself from
the world. Just like when time dialates in einsteins experiments, it
is possible to get space to dialate and bend, causing amazing things
to appear to happen with gravity. And this can occur in the mind as
well, and lead to enlightenment. When the perfect order emerges in
the soul of a person, synchronicity empowers them everywhere they go.
Sometimes it is just enough for a person to live in a place where
there is this kind of order and harmony, or to have some of it in
their lives. Just being close to another person who does is enough.
But there is so much more that we just do not yet understand.
Everything is relative to 0, and we can never reach the infinite.
Loss, and pain is always closer than eternal bliss. Things are
temporary, and there is never a reason to fear the eternal. Just
accept what comes to pass, and it won't leave you scared. If you want
to duplicate some of our experiments let me know, and I can help you
get started on the road to the new science of metaphysics.
