Object: Derivations of Hamilton's Canonical Equations
I have several books which go through derivations of Hamilton's canonical
equations. All of them seem to do it differently, and all of them
intersperse discussion and and digression in the development. That is not
necessarily bad, but it would be nice to simply see it laid out from start
to finish in a concise, complete and formal development. Can anybody
suggest a source which does that?
It may be the case that I should do it myself. And I might.
