Object: Diverging lenses in science
Hi,
In science, what are diverging lenses used for? I know some
applications of converging lenses, but none really of diverging
lenses.
Are diverging and converging lenses often used together in one
application?

I know a guy that uses a diverging lens to make laser beams bigger, and a
converging lens a short distance after it.
Diverging lenses are used to correct near-sightedness.
All sorts of lens elements, including flat blocks, are used in camera
lenses to correct spherical and chromatic aberrations.
