Doing away with Space and Time |
To make Special and General Relativity intuitive to the new
generation. Maybe we should do away with the concept
of space and time. Maybe we should call space
"information channel" and time "events", etc. Lee Simon says
that the universe is made of processes, not things. He meant
that everything is in constant motion, even the location
and activity of particle can't be determined precisely
from the uncertainty principle, and the different frame
of reference in SR thing, ec. So we must look
at space/time as information and events and processes.
Of course you can come up with a better description or
words. What would that be. When we can do away with
space and time. Then we won't be having space/time
fixated fellows such as Spaceman and other anti-relativists
decades and a century from now.

That is not what he meant since he knows for example that in QM motion is
not even an observable.

Channel and event cannot be primitives. Channel already incorporates
the concept of space and even the concept of time. What you seem to
lack understanding of is that science is founded on primitive concepts
and derivatives of them.

You can look at things any way you like as long as you do no observe
things that come in conflict with your models.

You mean that if we want to get rid of homeless people we must
eliminate all streets so there will be no place to be found.

If you do away with time, then everybody gets a free lunch.
If you do away with space every thing we need will be
close at hand.

quantis You might have it backwards "Events take place in space" and we
time them. If we lived in the tiny realm of Planck s Time,and Space
