Object: Dynamite bought the twin towers down say 73 top professors...Don't expect the media to cover it
The 9/11 terrorist attack on America which left almost 3,000 people
dead was an "inside job", according to a group of leading academics.
Around 75 top professors and leading scientists believe the attacks
were puppeteered by war mongers in the White House to justify the
invasion and the occupation of oil-rich Arab countries.
The claims have caused outrage and anger in the US which marks the
fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Monday.
But leading scientists say the facts of their investigations cannot be
ignored and say they have evidence that points to one of the biggest
conspiracies ever perpetrated. Professor Steven Jones, who lectures in
physics at the Brigham Young University in Utah, says the official
version of events is the biggest and most evil cover up in history.
He has joined the 9/11 Scholars for Truth whose membership includes up
to 75 leading scientists and experts from universities across the US.
Prof Jones said: "We don't believe that 19 hijackers and a few others
in a cave in Afghanistan pulled this off acting alone.
"We challenge this official conspiracy theory and, by God, we're going
to get to the bottom of this."
They believe a group of US neo-conservatives called the Project for a
New American Century, set on US world dominance, orchestrated the 9/11
attacks as an excuse to hit Iraq, Afghanistan and later Iran.

Or, but wait a minute. Those 73 professors are mostly non-engineers, and
in science fiedls having nothing at all to do with structural engineering.
Hell, the most vocal "Pundant", a certain Reverand Griffin, isn't even a
scientist. In that case, no list is even needed because the argument about
the 73 "professors" was DOA. But if you want a list of scientists and
professors who have looked very closely at the evidence and actually know
what they are talking about, I give you National Institute of Standards and
Technology. They've got 2,800 scientists, engineers, technicians, and
support and administrative personnel. Have you bothered to read their

Why would you want to know if 10,000 scientists and engineers to counter his
73 would make him shut the ***** up? That just seems too hypothetical, since
you are unbable to come up with that figure. If all you can actually provide

make more sense, no?

But I did provide 2800, so are you and the other "pundants" here going to

There are however, a number of schools that I've never heard of - Tunxis

I would like to better rank these institutions by reputation, but
unfortunately, I'm not aware of any way to do so, because data for that

be to rank them by SAT requirements for admission, and if anybody knows
of a site where this data is readily available and concisely listed,

So far, however, there is no evidence against the claims that these

Also, if I could get one of these guys into room, I'd love to ask him

The University of La Verne is, not surprisingly, located in La Verne, Calif.
La Verne is about 30 miles NE of Los Angeles and is bordered by the city of
Claremont and the most excellent city of San Dimas.

Paranoia is a delusional disorder in which the ability to evaluate data
is seriously influenced by cognitive dissonance. Data, and more
importantly the interpreted meaning of data, is evaluated by how
consistent it is with a preconceived conclusion. Thus the entire
logical process of deduction is corrupted. Perfectly valid and
reasonable data that does not support the conclusion is rejected.
Questionable and speculative assertions often replace empirically
verifiable data because these assertions support the conclusion. This
is where the cognitive dissonance arises.
For example, if you have good reason to believe that something was in a
particular place ("I know I left my glasses on the table.") and you
look for that object and do not find it, there are several conclusions
that you are able to reach. The logical conclusion is that the object
may have been moved.
The paranoid may make an additional leap, depending on his pre-set
expectation. If he has delusions of persecution, he may believe that
his persecutor may have deliberately moved it to cause him problems. A
paranoid (someone else) may conclude that the glasses were never there
in the first place, or that the glasses never really existed, or that
you are either deluded or deliberately lying to him about the glasses
having been where you said they were.
Briefly, a paranoid often has trouble evaluating the likelihood of a
proposition, and gives unlikely possibilities more credence that the
more likely ones based on how well they fit with his personal
delusion/conclusion.
The principle of parsimony is abandoned.
The possible causes of paranoia are still undetermined, but the list of
suspects is long:
http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/paranoia.htm
Paranoia can be acquired, but it does not seem to be contagious.
Unfortunately a lack of understanding of causative mechanisms makes it
difficult to treat, and the broad spectrum of the disorder - from
flat-earthers to the teen-ager who somehow is never at fault for her
own mistakes - makes it difficult to consistently diagnose, isolate,
and treat. Because of the difficulty of obtaining a diagnosis, even
the prevalence of the disorder is difficult to quantify, making trends
impossible to detect. There seems to be no shortage of new delusions,
however. The 9/11 conspiracy 'theories' are only 5 years old, but they
seem to have almost entirely supplanted the 'Arkancide' discussions.
Unfortunately the rational faculties of the paranoid do not appear to
be otherwise affected, so in matters not directly bearing on the
subject of the delusion, they usually appear to be normal people,
behaving and thinking normally. They are often of above-average
intelligence because they *do* spend a lot of time thinking about
things.
The only overt indication of the disorder may be they zeal with which
they defend their delusion, whether it is that there is "intelligent
planning" by a government or that all the good people will someday
disappear and go straight to Heaven.
The count of 'top professors' is merely an epidemiological datum. In
physical science the final decision on an issue is never based on a
plebescite, but rather on a repeatible measurement.
Back during the Cold War there was a satirical ditty with the title "50
Million Commies Can't Be Wrong."
Your '73 professors,' if they truly believe as you have claimed, are
almost certainly all deluded. In any case they represent a *MINISCULE*
minority of the hundreds of thousands of college professors in the US.

Aw, come on, now, everyone knows that gravity brought these

collapse, but gravity was what really brought them down.

I'm not saying planes didn't hit the towers, I'm saying it was a cover
for their controlled demolition. Those towers were packed to the hilt
with explosives all the
way down, 73 professors agree. Firefighters heard the explosions,
everyone one heard the explosions, you can hear them going off on every
level as the tower was blown to dust on every floor as it came down.
Why else would concrete and everything else be blown to dust?

So, comedian Jimmie JJ Walker, aka Dyn-No-Mite, had something to do with the
collapse?

Inqui777, please explain how these "explosions" would have
sounded or looked different than a "pancake collapse" sequence.
A pancake collapse entails the floors falling one at a time from
the top down in a bang-bang-bang sequence. The weight of all the
material above a floor that was in the process of collapsing
would make quite a bang when the collapsing floor fell to the
next floor beneath it. The process would continue like a falling
string of dominoes. And, yes, the shock of each floor collapsing
onto the next floor beneath it would likely send broken pieces of
steel flying out from the sides of the building. I watched the
collapses on TV, and it was quite obvious that this was a pancake
collapse sequence.

[... snip good stuff ...]

In addition (to the OP) consider pneumatic effects of collapsing floors.
Consider also that demolition experts do not "blow buildings up", really
they just exploit the weaknesses of a structure so that it collapses
naturally. Naturally. Get it?
And the TC had an exoskeleton, a rather unusual design which also encourages
vertical collapse in a catastrophic change.

I saw something about that. After hearing several structural
engineering professors give their take on why the two towers fell down,
I was convinced that it was a demolition. How can one argue that the
structures fell after being weakened by fire after hearing that the
tower that was hit second fell first?
