can a nuke explosion underground produce
an electromagnetic induction capable of producing earthquakes
anytime anywhere in the earth?

and the initial cracks but they take diferent shapes depending
on outside presure but mainly the presure from within.

What planet are you talking about, certainly not Earth?
the earth like the sun, every plannet and satelite in the solar system
where
constantly bombarded by commets and asteroids a very long time ago.

earth quakes are not cuased by electromagnetic forces
it is mainly by mechanic forces!
it is caused by the constant mutual movement of different zones of the
crust of earth
now coms the next question
wha t is the cause of that mutual movement?
it is probably because that crust is floating on the inner melted
layers
of earth **together with earth rotation**
since different materials are involved different thickness of the above
layers
etc etc
and now tothe practical question:
can man cause earth quake??
th eanswer is positive !!
since the mutual movement of plates is not 'smooth'
there is friction between those plates
so the energy accumulated by small movement does not relase the lock
between the plate
yet that 'lock' has only as limited strength
soone th e energy overcomes that 'lock' a quick and vigorous slipp
occures
and that is the MECHANICAL wave shock that is called earth quake
it is an horisental wave and a vertical wave
now
in many cases the lock between paltes is on a limit situation
ie yiouneed just little to break it !!
a nuclear explation(not to mension inside earth !!)
migh tbe much more than needed in order
of relaease that lock (that is full of sort of 'potentail supressed
spring' energy !!
methaphorically
a supressed spring that is hold perpendicularly by some 'pin' and
while you pull out that pin'
the 'suppresed spring' -- goes off
now a practical use
in some cases it is wishful to relase ONE 'BIG leathal earth
quakeand
and **replace it by a few samller harmless ones
so in many cases it would be a good paractical advice
to cause litle earth quakes
that can be done even by
CONVENSTIONAL explosives
and i think it is actually done in some places

There was no increase in earthquake activity during the hayday of
of US and Soviet bomb testing where the bombs were megaton size.
You do know seismic activity is constantly monitored and earthquakes
are continually occuring across the planet?
