Object: Effect of bleach on microfiber
It seems to be a piece of general advice not to bleach fabrics (such
as cleaning cloths) made of microfiber.
Why is this? What exactly is the bleach doing which makes it a
problem for microfiber?
Would this caution about using bleach (which is presumably sodium
hypochlorite solution as found in household bleach) also extend to
the type of bleach found in laundry detergents for white garments?
I believe laundry detergents for white garments usually contain
sodium perborate plus sodium percarbonate for use at 50 or 60
celsius.
Thanks for any info.
