Object: Einsteins GR and SR proved wrong!
well, bet that got the attention of the cranks and crackpots here.
first bit
it seems to me that the main sign of a demented loon is the obsessive
desire to prove established theory wrong - and GR seems to get the
brunt of the madness, with SR close behind.
for all you loons (hanson, yp poontang, sHead, henri willy etc) - what
is your obsession with this?
if you are determined to disprove the basics of what we look at as
physics today then you need something that actually replaces it. there
is no point in coming up with your fantastic new theory of madness only
to have it rely on the principles of GR/SR for its evidence. if you
cant see why that is wrong (or havent noticed more than a few crackpots
doing this) then i suggest night classes.
next bit
what the fucking obsession with einstien? who cares if he was a
religious nut or slightly more sane agnostic? so what?
yes he did some ground breaking work with classical mechanics but
people have made some fantastic advances with QM since then which make
GR/SR almost seem mundane in comparison. how come none of your
fruitcakes are whinging on about the more recent guys? is it because
they are still alive and will sue your insane asses?
last point
beer rocks.
(by the way - tj Fartpants if you post here, i will come round to your
house and bitchslap you to death.)

I doubt it - such titles are usually by cranks who try to get the attention
of strong SRT and GRT Believers.

first bit

desire to prove established theory wrong - and GR seems to get the
brunt of the madness, with SR close behind.

Interesting as the main sign of a scientist is that he/she tries to find new
things, also incl. defects in or an exception to "established" theory. FYI,
millions of bucks are pumped into such experiments every year and the people
who do them are not "demented loons". IOW your impression can be quite
misleading in practice.

for all you loons (hanson, yp poontang, sHead, henri willy etc) - what

That's true in religion but not in science. Scientists can cope with the
hard fact of not having a good theory - and they'll simply continue to work
with it as long as they have nothing better, although in all faithlessness.
Religious fanatics can't do that, they'd rather plug their ears.

Hmm, what is your point? I wonder if you are a scientist.

next bit

His name was Einstein, and for some reason a lot of people look up to him
and even this "year of science" was organised as a celebration for his
works. That's why there is so much obsession about him.

yes he did some ground breaking work with classical mechanics

Also QM, and he even directly demonstrated the existence of atoms with
Brownian motion.

but
people have made some fantastic advances with QM since then which make
GR/SR almost seem mundane in comparison. how come none of your

I suppose that you mean that on the physics groups there is little debate
about QM. Strange indeed!

last point

beer rocks.

Now I understand it, you just had a beer too many. ;-)
Cheers,
Harald
