Hello,
I am looking for some data on the most prominent phonon scattering
mechanism of conduction electrons in copper at room temperature, their
scattering probability, and other relevant details. Any pointers to
good references would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Peter

I don't know whether you are looking for a theoretical treatment or a
collection of relevant experimental measurements. Don't know much about
the latter, but as to the latter there are several places to look. The
excellent _Many-Particle Physics_ by Mahan has a whole chapter (Ch. 6) on
electron-phonon interactions. See specifically Section 6.4 for the case of
metals. There are also extensive references attached to this chapter. The
treatment is pretty advanced, it requires many body theory. The goal of
the presented calculations is to evaluate the electron and phonon Green
functions, from which properties such as the effective conductivity can be
estimated.
Theoretical calculations usually treat the general case of a normal metal,
but copper is sure to be included in any comparison of the results with
experiment.
Hope this helps.
