Here's an interesting homework assignment for readers, no matter how
"advanced". Look at internet biographies of mathematicians and
physicists and classical composers and make a note of the proportion
who were chronically physically or sometimes mentally ill (usually from
childhood on) or both. For mathematicians, the internet site at St.
Andrews U., Scotland, is among the best, usually listed by typing as
keyword the last or full name of the mathematician.
