French physics student looking for online english speaking tutor/penpal |
Hey everyone!
I'm 19, i'm french and i study physics in Orsay. I'm currently in the
last year before graduation. I studied mathematics for 2 years and
this year is my first physics year. I study Quantum Meca, Relativity,
Classical Meca, Electromagnetism, Statistic Physics, Computering,
Electronic and off course maths.
I'm looking for an online tutor/penpal in order to discuss some either
missunderstood or just interesting physics topics. Someone different
from my teachers to ask me questions to but also someone who could
share with me his vision of research (since it's what i'm aiming at).
I'm looking for someone older, a teacher/searcher would be great but
before all, NOT FRENCH! ;-)
Thank you very much in advance!!

What is your first "misunderstood or just interesting physics topic"?

If you like to discuss research topics, sci.physics.research may be
helpful. But I think any question can be asked at this board.

Welcome. Just remember, anybody at all can come in here. This
means you get pretty much what you'd expect. We get the very
kookiest, the trolls, the Nigerian bank scams, etc. etc.
We also get, on very rare occasions, actual science.

Yeah i've already read some more funny than physic topics lol. Don't
worry bout me, in my opinion science fiction is yet very entertaining
but only lies in novels. When it comes to physic i'll stick to the
teachers, and they're quite easy to tell from starwars fan or time
travel nerds.
