It seems like they may be designing the pumps at hydrogen-gas stations
much like those currently used for fossil-fuel.
Would it be more practical to pump hydrogen up from beneath the
vehicle, rather than across through a tube?

How do you get beneath the vehicle?
Now imagine doing it in the winter in the rain.

If we had a big new source of hydrogen it would be better to use they
hydrogen to heat and light our homes. This would reduce the need to burn oil
to make electricity.

Most electricity does not come from oil.

Perhaps a ramp would take the car over the tank, and then stop at a set
point for automatic connection.

Gee, that's real practical.

Gee, that's real practical.

The silly boy omitted a Homeland Severity check. In the future nobody
buys fuel without permission - gasoline makes terrorist bombs. There
will be a small user fee for protection, say $0.50/gallon to
discourage abuse and waste. Genetic, developmental, and behavioral
trash; reproductive warriors, hind gut fermenters, drug addicts,
Enviro-whiner Luddites; Peoples of Colour, cripples, queers, the
elderly, the stupid, the pathetic, and the Officially Sad will have
the fee waved.
