Gell-Mann didn't understand QM? |
In The Quark and the Jaguar Gell-Mann says he thinks quantum
mechangics' action-at-a-distance is like Bertelmann's socks, which is
totaly incorrect. Is it possible a Nobel prize winner didn't
understand the basic problems of quantum mechanics?

It is a common metaphor used in introductions to probabilistic correlation.
As with any metaphor it breaks down (obviously a sock is not a good
illustration of an action at a distance participant), but it introduces the
topic of correlated epistemologies sans any causal model assumed. And that
is probably the most common way that action at a distance is studied.
