The earth scatters dirt using gravity. This is associated with gravity
assist. Girls and boys who are good can search the internet for
gravity assist. There is a transfer of angular momentum from a planet
to a rocket. The angular momentum is around the sun. There is a lot
of dirt flying around space. Some of the dirt has an orbit around the
sun. When some dirt flies around the earth - the gravity of the earth
attracts the dirt. Some dirt may hit the earth.
Dirt that does not hit the earth will probably have a change of orbit
around the sun.
The same thing would be true for particles of dark matter - if there is
dark matter and if dark matter is made up of particles. Stars, black
holes, planets, rocks, dirt, gas, electrons, protons, and neutrons
would be moving through dark matter - if there is dark matter. Gravity
from things like stars, black holes, dirt, gas and electrons would
scatter particles associated with dark matter - gravity assist.
It would be more simple to scatter dark matter - if there is dark
matter and if particles make up dark matter - compared to normal matter
- because dark matter would move through stars, planets, rocks, dirt,
gas, electrons, protons and neutrons a lot like neutrinos move through
the earth. Dirt that hits the earth and becomes part of the earth can
be compared to dark matter not hitting matter because it goes through
matter.
These particles would scatter to an extreme. There would be a constant
density of these particles through the universe - if the univere is
old.
Black holes or stars a lot like black holes would absorb these
particles - if there are these kinds of particles. The black holes
would get extremely big. People would probably be able to see these
big black holes.
