I got banned from physics forums. They wrote to me:
You have been banned for the following reason:
Banned means BANNED...permanently, forever, until eternity. Stop
trying to come back with new nicknames.
Date the ban will be lifted: Never

That's no physics forum, despite the name. Just a private club,
like monitored newsgroups.
They thrive on mutual comfort in their restricted beliefs and are
unwilling and unable to tangle with physical reality.
You won't find anything there that's not fully explained in
the literature.
You lost nothing.

No I was not.
I prefer freedom.
No one can prevent any of my posts from appearing
on unmonitored ngs.
In other words, I recognize to no one the right to
censor me.
Besides, original ideas are never discussed by
orthodoxes.
Only umphteenth time rehashed stuff by orthodoxes
and would be orthodoxes is to be found on monitored
ngs and private groups.
Fully covered by available literature.
Uninteresting, useless and meaningless.

I prefer freedom too. I rather go to unmoderated forums or to forums
where the moderators are much nicer like sciforums. In moderated
forums there is no democracy. The moderators just set themselves above
the people and there is nothing you can do about it.

Why do you believe people who act like idiots=20
should be given a second chance? If you invite

I'll bet the people who use the message board=20

They are the idiots that they behave like this. People change. Just
because a person did once behave badly doesn't mean that he will not
change his behaviour. They are idiots because they don't give people a
second chance.

It's *you* that wants a second chance. They are not

Because everybody is born a language-impaired, thought-impaired,
babbling idiot. If you start banning people based on what they are or
were at one point in time, irrespective of what they will or might
become at a later time, then you might as well ban everybody from
everything, because ... everybody was -- at least at one point in
their life -- a language-impaired, thought-impaired, babbling idiot.
There's such a thing as a learning curve. And people evolve
cognitively over time. Moreover, the idiot-phase is a CRUCIAL element
in that evolution. That's why, among other things, adults have such a
difficult time learning a new language -- they're afraid of going
through the necessary process to break through the learning barrier
(i.e., doing the very same things babies and toddlers do to learn
their first language -- babble on like incessant thought-impaired
idiots).

Very well. Perhaps you would then take him under your
wing and vouch for him in the forum from which he
was banned? You could speak to the moderators on
his behalf, reassuring them that he is a reformed
individual.

Like your idea (posted only in sci.math, I notice) that
because dimensional analysis shows that the velocity
of transverse waves on a string can be expressed in
units of c, it proves that all energy is propagated at
a speed c.
