Do you notice that all the world seems to be guessing - in all
branches, in all sections of research, routine, creativity there is a
guessing involved? Do you believe you are not guessing?

I'm guessing you don't really expect an answer...

Are you telling us something new? This is a fact of life that is
usually stated as: Conjecture precedes knowledge. We learn about our
environ by making a conjecture, performing (often mental) experiments
for verification and modifying the conjecture and so on. In fact when
we see something, it too appears to go through our sensors via
conjecture, modification, confirmation and decision.
I apologize if you meant by "guessing" something other than
conjecture.

Your statement sounds very clean, logical. I prefer organic, something
more around the microcosm of behavior. The process of getting to know
is like "guessing" and it is one with being an action, like deliberate
driving in certain way. We can sense a vector of force being focused
at the intersection of "guessing" and "deliberation" as a quality
attention. I think that so often we see the driving in usenet and
rarely the cumulative "liberation" of the space that comes within, the
actual structural content. Its best not to panic.

Yes. No.
Guessing is a good thing. That's what makes science go forward.
What makes the difference is *checking* the guess.

1- Quite possible, in many cases.
2- No, a lot of the time.
How many guesses/person/minute?

Count the gestures and politeness, all ideas squared, and one pie for
the humor.
